Requirements Macmillan Adult Trade Production is seeking a director to oversee a team of nine that supports our St. Martin's Publishing Group, Tor/Forge, Celadon and Castle Point imprints. These imprints publish roughly 800 new trade titles and 400 conversions a year.
Candidate should have excellent people skills, management experience and excel in all facets of print production and manufacturing. This position requires a person with strong analytical skills and with a penchant for continuous improvement.
We are looking for a positive professional to support and collaborate with a vibrant and evolving division at Macmillan.
Produce quality books on time and within budget
Support imprint and department initiatives
Supervise staff of nine
Maintain vendor relationships and keep abreast of industry trends.
Work closely with VP of Trade Production, to develop process improvements and address concerns.
Required Skills / Knowledge:
Prepress, sheetfed and offset print production domestic and 4/c vendors overseas.
10+ years of 1/c and 4/c Children's and YA book production
