Due to expansion of services in our Cardiac Cath Lab, we have an opportunity to join us and be part of a collaborative team at Regions Hospital. The Radiology Technologist Specialist-Cath Lab will work directly with the cardiologist, nurse and cardiovascular technologist during cardiac interventional procedures including:
preparing room, radiologic equipment, contract media and sterile table and supplies needed for procedure
providing patient care by providing comfort measures, monitoring patient condition and reporting any changes to appropriate staff
addressing patient professionally, verifying patient identification, explaining examination and responding to all questions
performing basic and advanced radiographic procedures by aligning the patient anatomy, selecting and utilizing auxiliary equipment as needed, selecting x-ray protocols and operating radiographic equipment
evaluating images for proper identification, legal and anatomical labeling
completing appropriate paperwork following procedures
prioritizing and performing exams on a timely basis, especially in emergency and stressful situations

Anticipated start date: May 2022
Required Qualifications:
Completion of a JRCERT program of Radiologic Technology or the ARRT approved equivalent
One (1) year Radiologic Technologist clinical experience
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
ACLS at time of hire or within 12 months of hire
Ability to return to work within 30 minutes of call back
