Vertex Inc is currently looking for an RFP Senior Analyst who is responsible for completing Request for Proposal (RFP) responses from prospective and current global clients on a timely basis This person will work with internal subject matter experts (SME’s) in multiple areas to process large, complex bid proposals involving various Vertex product and service solutions. The role initiates and oversees the execution of the overall bidding process including RFP response development and coordination, bid planning, bid briefs, and centralized maintenance/upkeep of bid files. The RFP Senior Analyst will ensure integrated and professional RFP responses and serve as a single point of contact to address and respond to prospect/customer questions in a timely manner, contributing to high customer satisfaction levels with the pre-sale experience.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Respond to RFP's/RFI's (Request for Proposal/Request for Information) from prospects and customers in a timely and accurate manner.
Implement standard guidelines for various phases of RFP completion.
Streamline processes to increase RFP throughput, decrease RFP response times, and relieve key stakeholders of administrative burdens.
Review RFP and identify requirements, solution fit and deployment.
Leverage Qvidian Proposal Automation Software for effective and efficient management of the RFP process.
Identify areas of RFP that may pose risk and present each to sales rep.
Work closely with product development, sales, pre-sales, legal and hosting teams for assistance, if needed.
Coordinate timeline for each RFP and assign a list of deliverables to various teams.
Proof all responses for accuracy and readability.
Maintain library of all proposals in a secure, accessible manner.
Maintain clean database of all standard questions and answers.
Develop a strong, working knowledge of all Vertex solutions offered
Ensure information provided in internal responses is kept accurate and up-to-date.
Provide ad-hoc analysis of all submitted proposals as needed (win/loss ratio, supporting reasons, etc.).
Lead or participate in other projects or duties as required.
Assist in managing reference program for prospective and existing clients.
Serves as a back-up for the Sales Order Coordinator.
Other functions may be assigned and management retains the right to add or change the duties at any time.

Education & Training:
Bachelors Degree in a business discipline and/or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 6 years relevant experience including minimum of 3 years managing RFP’s, proposal generation, and/or procurement required, preferably in a software and services industry.
Strong writing and communication skills required.
Experience conducting both individual and team training on processes and systems required
Proficiency in Oracle Financials, Oracle eBusiness Suite, Salesforce.com, MS Office Suite, and Docusign preferred.
Flexibility and an appreciation of a fast-moving and international environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
Ability to understand and articulate responses from various team members to ensure readability and comprehension of the reader while consistently adhering to Vertex branding standards.
Strong project management skills with particular attention to detail. Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple action items.
Ability to work well under pressure with multiple deadlines.
Ability to work with minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment and a “can do” problem solving approach.
Ability to work well both independently and as a team with aptitude for collaboration.
