About the role
Data is Essence's lifeblood which is why we built Olive, our proprietary agency platform. It's the spine of our operations, enabling financial control, operational workflow management, ongoing reporting, and advanced analytics at an enterprise level. It brings all our data together into one complete campaign overview.
Working on the reporting team will involve pushing our proprietary platform to the limit by leveraging the Olive DataLake and BI platforms to build reports/tools in support of our teams and clients. This team will also play a role in helping to shape Olive's future technological roadmap.
As Senior Data Strategy Executive, you will use your curiosity and analytical mind to explore, structure and visualise media datasets to help deliver more timely, and engaging data-driven intelligence for our customers. This team will also explore and implement opportunities for automation during every step of the process.
Some of the things we'd like you to do:
Gather reporting requirements from internal and external stakeholders in order to take the lead in developing client reports
Structure media datasets and build interactive reports to meet client and team needs
Become a confident user of systems and tools within Essence and the industry
Generate technical specifications for upcoming Olive features
Attend status meetings, and client calls when required
A bit about yourself:
Degree from a top-tier University (preferably engineering, science, computer science)
Natural affinity for numbers and analysis
Wizard with Excel or other analytical tools
Strong verbal and written communication
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Nice to have
Experience with Business Intelligence/Dashboarding Tools (e.g. Tableau, DataStudio, Domo, Chartio, Power BI, etc)
