As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will play a pivotal role in defining the product architecture, driving its development from conception to deployment, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and scalable products.

Job Duties

Included but not limited to the following:

Define product architecture, considering scalability, maintainability, and extensibility, and conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Lead and contribute to the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment, working closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers.
Take ownership of project timelines and deliverables, effectively managing tasks, prioritizing activities, and communicating progress and potential risks to stakeholders.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality products by conducting thorough testing and debugging, implementing automated testing methodologies for improved efficiency and reliability.
Continuously identify opportunities for product enhancements and optimizations, proactively proposing and implementing improvements to drive customer satisfaction and business growth.
Utilize your in-depth understanding of software and hardware engineering principles to design and implement scalable, reliable, and high-performance products using various programming languages and frameworks.
Share your knowledge and expertise with junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team, and collaborating effectively with colleagues to promote a positive work environment.

Required Skills

5+ years of professional experience in product development, preferably in a fast-paced and agile environment.
Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python) and familiarity with relevant frameworks.
Experience with microcontrollers, DSP’s, or Multi-core controllers.
Experience with AUTOSAR basic software (BSW) application layer development.
Familiarity with Automotive network interfaces (e.g. CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
Understanding of Systems and Safety Engineering.
Knowledge and application of Functional Safety Specifications (ISO 26262) is a plus.
Software Requirements and Architecture Analysis, Design implementation adhering to Automotive SPICE process.
Ability to capture, review, and decompose customer requirements.
Experience in design and perform automotive test automation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Extensive experience in architectural design, performance optimization, and software testing.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to lead a team to identify root cause and drive change in both process and product as required.
Passionate about technology, product innovation, and staying up-to-date with industry trends.

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Experience:

5+ years in Automotive Engineering (Minimum Required)

Ability to Commute / Relocate:

This position is located in Bay City, MI. Applicants must reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required).

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
