The Administrator performs administrative and technical duties associated with the support, tuning and maintenance of systems. They maximize the system availability and performance for all subsystems. The Administrator provides technical assistance to the entire IT staff for systems in area of responsibility.
Strategy & Planning
Create and modify Operation & Support documentation.
Coordinate production maintenance activities.
Perform quarterly assertions to ensure adequate amount of resources are available to systems during critical processing times.
Oversee the provisioning of system resources.
Maintain the system integrity and security by following the published configuration standards and Sarbanes-Oxley IT general controls.
Perform maintenance activities as required by varying compliance initiatives.
Support and implement security policies and controls as defined and developed by the Engineer team.
Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data and system security.
Implement and administer techniques to ensure ease of system recoverability.
Enforce policies, procedures, and standards.
Provide maximum system availability and uptime for systems.
Support and fine tune parameters to increase efficiency and to achieve maximum performance.
Monitor system performance.
Identify system problems and manage the resolution of the identified problems through internal support and/or vendor technical support.
Provide technical insights and recommendations to the entire IT staff as appropriate.
Provide level 3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
Formal Education & Certification
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
Technical Certifications a plus
Knowledge & Experience
7-10+ years IT related experience.
In-depth knowledge of data structures, data management practices, system interaction patterns and interfaces.
In-depth knowledge of various corporate security rules, legal and regulatory obligations such as PCI, SOX or similar standards.
In-depth knowledge of vendor software integration and interaction patterns.
Advanced technical troubleshooting, diagnosing and problem solving skills
Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008-2016, Varonis DataVantage, Powershell, Active Directory/GPO, DNS, DHCP.
Working knowledge of Exchange 2010/O365, Mimecast, VMware.
Listening, verbal and written communications skills with the ability to translate technical information into understandable terms to a variety of audiences.
