I worked at International Fellowship of Christians and Jews full-time (More than a year)

      Pros

Solid over the phone customer service experience. Great team to work with. Was a positive starting point right out of college, to be short term.

      Cons

Didn't feel as if you were expected to thrive and develop in the role. Very obvious ceiling in terms of skills used. The actual location in the office is secluded which doesn't allow for network connections with other professionals in the company. Donor base was highly unpleasant. For how taxing the role was, the pay didn't reflect it, nor the professional or experiential benefits, or opportunities to develop new skills and advance out of it.

      Advice to Management

Employee morale was so low I could barely function. The only positive of being part of this team was that we made the best out of a bad job situation. Would've lasted longer in this role of there was any way to move up/around in the organization.

      Pros

The work hours are good, the benefits package is top-notch, and all of the Jewish holidays observed make for a lot of additional time off. The salary is comparable to industry standards and the company provides lots of perks to help boost overall morale.

      Cons

Not much opportunity for career growth as positions are pretty much set in stone. Promotion only comes if you are liked by upper management but have threatened to resign. If you are liked by upper management your job is protected. If you go against the grain you can kiss your job goodbye.

      Advice to Management

Kindly ask the current Executive Director to retire as he is the reason so many people choose to leave or are let go. Even the most agreeable staff have difficulty working with this person. He has been described as being the "devil incarnate" and I would have to agree.

I worked at International Fellowship of Christians and Jews full-time (More than a year)

      Pros

-The benefits package is unbelievable. 14+ paid holidays in your first year, plus ample sick and vacation time.
-Current manager of Donor Support department has a wonderful management style. Very clear, directive, fair, and understanding.

      Cons

      -Overall company morale is low.
-Senior Management turn-over is extraordinarily high.
      - Lack of fluid communication between departments.
      - Little room for growth/advancement. The company does not place an emphasis on growing your professional skills for the entire staff, only certain departments.
