Our organization owns the Amazon search experience on all device types across all locales. We are responsible for creating a vision for the next generation Amazon search experience and delivering it to millions of customers. We believe that shopping on Amazon should be simple, delightful, and full of "wow" moments for everyone, whether you are technically savvy or new to online shopping. In the next three years, we will transform the current shopping experience by using machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence. Through query understanding, personalized recommendations, and new design thinking, we will tailor the shopping experience to each customer’s needs. We will enable a smoother, more intuitive customer experience via deep learning, reinforcement learning, and continuous optimization. We are looking for a full stack software engineer, with expertise in building large-scale web applications and/or low-latency services, optimized for performance. You should love challenges and working on large-scale, customer facing projects.
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Spring, CSS, Java Script, mobile development (Android, iOS)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
