Job Purpose:

Supervises daily shift within an assigned area. Ensures that assigned areas are
maintained in accordance with standard procedures and hospital policy. Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System.


High school Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Licenses and/or Certifications (Required and Preferred):

· Related Work Experience and Other Skills

Ability to work under minimal supervision

· Able to develop and maintain good working relationships with all levels of staff, patients and
family members Able to follow oral and written instructions

· Able to organize work and work area with time constraints in a fast paced environment Able to
professionally and effectively communicate (orally and in writing)

· Must be able to maintain training knowledge and apply as necessary

· Work Experience: 3 years housekeeping experience in a hospital setting preferred

Job Roles:

Coaches and leads by example. Documents on going training; Demonstrates mixing
chemicals, as needed/required.

Communicates with leadership regarding their concerns and /or opinions.
Recommends corrective action as necessary.

Conducts daily tours. Quality Inspections (Daily requirement); Patient Surveys (Daily
requirement); Manager Rounds and turn in formal rounds report.

Conducts employee meetings/in-services are required.

Ensures that employee have all necessary supplies to produce work.

Is knowledgeable and ensure that hospital and departmental policies are followed:

Monitors attendance of all employees; Monitors dress code; Monitors hospital safety
and department standards are maintained.
