Don’t miss this great opportunity and apply today! JOB DESCRIPTION Systems Engineer II is the first escalation path for IT resolution above the Systems Engineer I. This position is responsible for computer all staff. This position will report to the Senior IT Manager. The Systems Engineer II’s responsibilities encompass server hardware, workstations, laptops, telephones, mobile devices, tablets, printers, software support, and user support when the System Engineer I is either unable or unavailable to resolve the issue. The Systems Engineer II will also assist with projectors, displays, AV equipment, video conferencing systems should the Systems Engineer I be unavailable. The Systems Engineer II will play an elevated role in training on all of the above. REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor-level degree in field of study directly correlated to Information technology or comparable work experience. - At least one year of experience in a design/architecture environment - Previous experience and knowledge of engineering software required (ex: RevIt, Microstation, AutoCAD, etc.) - 3 years experience in IT or related fields. - Ability to use independent thought and discretion while troubleshooting. - Ability to determine and implement appropriate course of action to resolve mid-level IT related issues for end users and the Firm. - Ability to work independently and self-manage without consistent on-site departmental supervision. - Excellent customer service skills. - Experience with a wide array of user related issues in a firm-wide enterprise environment. - Able to perform mid-level server and network administration. - Familiarity with Microsoft, Autodesk, Adobe and related software products. - Able to assemble a PCs from scratch, install an operating system (OS) and install and configure software applications. - Experience with creating and managing user accounts in an Active Directory/LDAP environment. - Experience with PC operating system (OS) imaging and remote administration, Wake On LAN, PXE, etc. RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific responsibilities of the Systems Engineer II include, but are not limited to, the following: - Diagnose and troubleshoot various hardware and software problems. - Determine and implement appropriate course of action to resolve mid-level IT related issues for end users and the Firm. - Assemble and repair PC hardware. - Provide support of mobile devices for staff productivity, Apple IOS, Android, etc. - Perform task tracking, documentation and logging. - Participant in maintenance of the IT Asset Database as part of hardware management. - Deliver training presentations to Firm leadership and staff. - Work with external technology consultants and service providers. - Work with external technology vendors and product providers, including network, telecom, etc. - Set-up/breakdown work stations for new, relocating or exiting staff should the System Engineer I not be available. - Set-up projectors, AV equipment and video conferencing systems for meetings should the System Engineer I not be available. - Assist staff as needed with mobile IT technology. - Be on call for afterhours emergencies.
