Training & Support Representative – Central Billing Office

Role Overview:

In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with billing supervisors, specialists, practice managers, and other team members to enhance performance and deliver ongoing education to achieve our organizational goals. Your contribution will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the hospital's financial operations, ultimately making a life-changing impact.

Training & Support Representative: is responsible for providing training to front end staff of all sites (+100 office locations) of 4 Medical Groups located in the following locations:

  • Hudson Valley
  • Westchester
  • Queens
  • Brooklyn

Position is remote but from time to time we may be asked to actually commute to the sites to provide in person training & support

Leverage your exceptional communication skills and adept multitasking abilities to excel in this position. You will coordinate activities related to training new and existing employees, crucial for maintaining high operational and procedural standards. Drawing upon your comprehensive knowledge of medical billing, you will serve as a valuable resource, providing training and support on all aspects of professional billing and various insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, workers' compensation, and commercial insurance carriers, along with the associated regulatory frameworks. Preferred Criteria:

  • Proficiency in EPIC (Prelude and PB Module)
  • Two (2) years of experience in revenue cycle operations, including expertise in communication, facilitation, and training within a multi-specialty setting
  • Experience in physician billing and registration
  • Proficiency in registration and billing inquiries

Required Criteria:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of strategic planning, team development, customer service, project management, and adult learning principles and methodologies
  • Proficiency in revenue cycle processes, including patient registration, billing, payment posting, denial tracking/resolution, accounts receivable, local/state/federal regulations, Fair Debt and Collection Practice Act, medical terminology, and familiarity with payer contracts
  • Competence in various computer systems, including health systems and interfaces, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, and electronic health records.
