Job Description


Customer Sales Representatives play a crucial role at TSG by building networks with shippers/manufacturers to promote our transportation services. Job will be performed through use of computer, internet, phone, and email systems.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

  • Make sales calls to current and potential customers to promote TSG’s transportation services
  • Generate and organize sales leads. Provide status reports to Sales Management as requested
  • Field calls from current or potential customers for new business opportunities
  • Complete rate proposals
  • Negotiate pricing for transactional sales and request credit approval for new customers in accordance with standard procedures
  • Assist in collection of delinquent accounts
  • Keep informed on industry trends, services, and competitor activities
  • Meet and exceed daily/weekly/monthly sales goals
  • Maintain daily customer relationships to assigned accounts, acting as primary contact and re-directing to other departments as needed

Skills and credentials:

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, problem-solving, and networking skills
  • Ability to drive results within a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Minimum 1 year experience in cold-calling/inside sales role preferred

Compensation and benefits:

  • Full-time, salaried position with quarterly commission and/or bonus potential (following 90 days of employment)
