The Schneider organization has an immediate need for a solution driven Senior Transportation Representative to execute time-sensitive business processes for Permits, Border Crossing and Regulatory assistance to drivers during 2nd and/or 3rd shift hours. The Senior Transportation Representative communicates regularly with first shift counterparts, driver and customer contacts to ensure continued superior service during evening and overnight hours. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Act as an escalation point, demonstrating subject matter expert skills in all supported functions
  • Communicate in a timely and effective manner with customs, brokers, state permit contacts, Drivers, Driver Managers and third party carriers
  • Edit electronic logs according to Regulatory guidelines
  • Maintain and update technical documentation to ensure quick and effective performance of each function
  • Make sound business decisions to resolve delays at border and eliminate risk of fines and penalties

Our preferred candidate will have:
  • Ability to work non-traditional schedule: Wednesday-Sunday 5pm-1am
  • Secondary education or equivalent work experience. Transportation experience preferred
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize work and function effectively under stress
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral communication
  • Strong initiative and creativity
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
