Job Description: JOB SUMMARY: The Video Production Intern will work collaboratively with the Workforce Development department and the Workplace Learning and Records Management department to conceptualize, storyboard, direct and edit training videos. This project will be used to help train employees of ST Engineering to better understand training lessons using video representation techniques.
The purpose of this internship is to gain real world experience at a major company. This internship will allow the intern to add to their portfolio and advance their skills.
Produce and assist on training videos under the guidance of the Workplace Learning and Records Management team.
Create and conceptualize ways to keep employees engaged while watching training vidoes.
Discuss ideas, storyboard and status with the management team.
Schedule and coordinate meetings with manager and leads to discuss video shooting needs and requirements.
Edit and finalize training videos to be posted on Learning Management System.
Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must be professional in appearance and demeanor.
Must demonstrate a strong and creative work ethic.
Must have basic camera skills and video editing skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: SUPERVISION: The interns will be under direct supervision.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: A strong level of interpersonal skills is required to maintain an storyboard and shoot content for training videos.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Essential responsibilities are performed in a climate controlled office but not limited to the office. Some video shoots may be recorded in hangars with uncontrolled climate.
Experience: Intern position – no previous experience required.
Education: Minimum of High School diploma; either currently taking or have completed video production courses.
