At Medallia, we hire the whole person.

Medallia's Data organization is established and expanding in scope. Through organic growth and acquisition we have several "vertical" teams with full complements of Data Analysts, Scientists and Engineers aligned to Medallia's product strategy, including Athena, Sense360, Decibel, Thunderhead, Monkeylearn and Medallia Consulting. As a consequence, we have several systems that implement common functions, like data governance and discovery, model serving and monitoring, and similar but different approaches to data and data science product development.

We're now engaged in extending our core Athena Platform capabilities and processes to enable us to draw these teams closer together, to realise efficiencies, implement common standards across our product portfolio, and most importantly simplify cross-product innovation.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the VP of Data Science and Engineering, your job will be to set direction with clarity, prioritize platform investments across Medallia, foster the culture of leading with data, and deliver a common research and development platform that new and existing product teams will call home.

Qualifications:

The Platform team is highly distributed and the right candidate will thrive in an environment of asynchronous communication. We expect you to have excellent written communication skills and be able to create working relationships with coworkers in locations around the globe, across organizational boundaries. In this role you will hire, lead, provide guidance, support and advice to your teams.
