I have been working at Spoken Communications full-time (More than 3 years)

      Pros

      - Company culture: inviting, inclusive, friendly - you actually want to hang out with your coworkers outside of work!
      - Technology: innovative, exciting - this is the contact center world so there isn't too much innovation going on, but Spoken manages to excite you about it regardless.
      - Benefits are great (unlimited PTO, work from home options, standing desks, snacks/coffee, open floor plan!)
      - The people: There are a lot of smart people who work here, some who are considered experts in their fields. There is always something new to learn from a co-worker.

      Cons

      - Lack of ownership
      - Lack of growth opportunity
      - No structured training (mostly on the job with a 2-3 month ramp up) *however, they are working on rectifying this and adding more training options (online, self paced, seminars etc.)
      - Must be workaholic/junkie (if you can't hack longer hours every now and then or doing what needs to get done, you won't last long)
      - Don't expect a raise, ever. Also, be prepared to be turned down multiple times.

      Advice to Management

Overall management is doing great and is going in the right direction. If you would like less employee turnover, I would suggest rewarding them with bonuses and raises. Also suggest more company events that include the North Carolina office and remote employees.

      Pros

Great people, interesting projects, good location, great outlook, good management, inclusive culture

      Cons

Startup mode can equal rapid shifts in focus, which is understandable. But, sometimes it makes it hard to be strategic.

      Advice to Management

Stay the course on current trajectory.
