The Learning Systems Institute at Florida State University is searching for a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) to serve as a part-time (20 hrs/wk) Campus Peace Corps Recruiter. The successful candidate will serve as FSU's point of contact for students and others interested in joining the Peace Corps.
The Peace Corps Recruiter's responsibilities will include implementing objectives-based recruitment strategies (approved by Peace Corps) at FSU. These strategies include, but are not limited to:
1. Establishing collaborative relationships and maintaining personal contacts with students, faculty, student groups, and organizations on campus and in the surrounding community.
2. Promoting all public Peace Corps and recruiting events through campus media, including social media (e.g. Facebook) and campus media (e.g. radio, websites, etc.)
3. Developing and maintaining a social media presence through Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
4. Organizing information sessions and facilitating presentations to student organizations, panels or other presentations at FSU, FAMU and the greater Tallahassee community.
5. Meeting with and orienting prospective candidates interested in Peace Corps service and raising awareness about Peace Corps service and its benefits.
6. Maintaining and/or developing partnerships and collaborating with University department heads, student organizations, RPCV groups, Peace Corps Clubs, and Cloverdell Fellows/PC Prep.
7. Creating and submitting a monthly report that highlights recruitment activities, informational events, and the number of applicants distributed and received.
Must be a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV).
