Executive Hires To Help Bolster Reach of Glassdoor’s Social Recruiting Platform

SAUSALITO, Calif., – (February 13, 2013) – Glassdoor, the leading social jobs and career community, today announced two new executives hired to help the business expand. Scott Hauswirth joins the company as a vice president of business development and comes on board with nearly 15 years’ experience in the online employment industry. Glassdoor also proudly welcomes Steve Roop who joins Glassdoor as the vice president of marketing after having helped spearhead strategic marketing efforts for some of the technology industry’s most well-known and fastest-growing brands.

Scott received his J.D. from University of California, Hastings College of the Law and his B.A. in Political Economy from University of California, Berkeley.

Prior to Glassdoor, Roop was employee #10 and VP of Marketing at AppDynamics. During his tenure, he successfully launched the company from stealth mode to a category leader. His freemium marketing strategies helped AppDynamics attract over 100,000 users and 5x growth. Prior to joining AppDynamics, Roop served as VP of Products & Marketing at Vontu, an industry-leader in data loss prevention solutions. During his tenure at Vontu, Roop helped the company increase revenue by triple digits each year, and also managed the strategic partnership with Symantec. His career also includes executive positions at PeopleSoft and Accenture. Steve received a B.S. in Commerce and Finance from Santa Clara University.
