Does anyone know anything about the Deloitte CORE Leadership Program for veterans/active duty military transitioning? Someone I know is attending, and wonder if he could get an offer from this?

People can talk smack about the consulting industry all they want, but it let me hit my fire number in my 30s. #Blessed
My net worth is 343k as a 26 year old. Why do i still feel behind? Current salary is 140k. Friends in tech have been making 190k-350k from college up until now.
The key to being promoted (beyond capability) is to be likeable. To be likeable, you need to be relatable. To be relatable, you need to have a wide range of hobbies and interests and appeal to familiarity - eg have kids, watch sports, play golf, etc.
Got laid off from a smaller consulting and the separation memo mentioned that I can’t work for some of the banks. Considering an offer from big 4, do I need to let the new employer know about the memo that I signed?
I was just terminated from the deals group. I’ve let myself go in terms of my health and weight. I figured I’d use a good chunk of the severance time to get in shape over the summer and focus on my health but my friends and family are pushing me to find a way to juggle both and call me crazy for taking my time. My plan is to build a morning routine of fitness and work that into my new schedule when I’m rehired. Any thoughts ?
I went to the inaugural session of this a few years ago. It was a great program but they seemed to purposely avoid it becoming a recruiting event. This may have changed but I wouldn’t expect to be recruited. It is an awesome network builder though and you never know what will come out of that.
The one thing I would stress above all else is to spend every second networking. To be honest my network with my fellow attendees has been way more valuable than the Deloitte staff. They were all high performing people that have gone on to careers in a wide range of positions and industries. Also, don’t get too wild at The Barn.
I attended in the third ever session. They are very straight forward about it not being a recruiting event. I ended up with an offer months later but it wasn't from that. I still had to interview.
Thanks so much for sharing! Good to know and I will pass that along.
OP, might be a good thing to put on the resume tho :)
The target is 15% of attendees get offers. It’s a great program
