My net worth is 343k as a 26 year old. Why do i still feel behind? Current salary is 140k. Friends in tech have been making 190k-350k from college up until now.
Just saw a post from Fortune Magazkne that Gen Z is getting fired because they don’t have good communication skills (how to run a meeting, how to write a formal email etc.), don’t show initiative (ask questions, volunteer for projects) and don’t maintain professionalism (show up on time, miss deadlines etc.). Sounds like the boomers are getting grumpy, but as a millennial, this doesn’t surprise me. Curious if anyone thinks work culture will eventually adjust or if you’re seeing this.
Senior consultant at Capgemini frog or consultant at Accenture song Chicago office. Previous comments told me to go for Accenture … however I am early career neurodivergent queer woman and im not sure which would be a better cultural fit if i did want to stay for a couple of years. money wise I am looking at similar pay range.
The key to being promoted (beyond capability) is to be likeable. To be likeable, you need to be relatable. To be relatable, you need to have a wide range of hobbies and interests and appeal to familiarity - eg have kids, watch sports, play golf, etc.
Got laid off from a smaller consulting and the separation memo mentioned that I can’t work for some of the banks. Considering an offer from big 4, do I need to let the new employer know about the memo that I signed?
At one point it was up to 16k for SM level diversity hire, which was bananas. 12k for lower levels, think 8 for analyst. For non diversity it was 4k less across-the-board. Check out the site, too lazy to do so myself atm.
I think it’s gone down for entry level. $2k for non diversity, and $5k for diversity. Unsure how it scales but I think it still is bananas for higher level referrals.
