What are some unique 10 year work anniversary gift ideas?
HR Manager in a manufacturing facility with no college degree or SHRM-CP cert or anything. Just military HR background and some manufacturing experience when I was younger. The small company I work for has never had an HR person or department. If they decide they still do not NEED an HR and I am just "doing what could be done by department heads", how screwed am I to find another job? On a scale of 1-10. Only been here for just under a year and it is my only civilian HR experience.
Hypothetically speaking, if an HR Manager tells you that we have to “terminate” an employee under one name and rehire them under a new name because they got new papers, that’s not legal, right??
What is your go to ice breaker for meetings? I’ve been given the order to start running Monday morning staff meetings. These will be at 8am, so I need creative ways to get everyone pumped.
I have been applying to so many job postings and only got one interview. I receive so many Thanks, but no thanks letters. Some of which are very good and very personal - not the typical we value your time and appreciate you applying to our organization. I have altered my resume and letter via AI to really try to get "that job", but am 1 of 100's of applicants. I don't have a degree, but am obtaining my SPHR, have 25 years of experience and have taken courses. What else should I do?
These "graduations" are getting out of hand. Over the past few weeks, I've had to rework shifts for dozens of employees because their kids had midday prek, kindergarten, 5th grade, 8th grade, etc., graduations. Are all of these necessary?
A former employer did $2500 for 10 years and everyone loved it. What's your budget?
Cash Bonuses, Concert Tickets, Gift Box Subscription and maybe Additional Paid Time Off.
Additional time off is another good one. My friend works at a company that does 2 weeks mini paid sabbatical that needs to be taken all at once within 1 year of the anniversary. Basically it forces people to take a real vacation.
I would say a cash bonus. I would also prefer something like this more than anything.
A termination notice
Ahahaha. I didn't expect this comment. Made me laugh!
a tech upgrade honestly, that will go a long way bc it will be something they use everyday
Cash, champagne, basket, or even paid time off
No to alcohol. You don't know who drinks or doesn't drink (or may be in recovery). Be more inclusive.
