Netflix is great at collabs! I loved the Wednesday ones, but I think this is quite clever as well. They are collaborating globally with Anheuser-Busch to promote their shows. They are even doing packaging as part of the deal. The shows they listed are in UK in Korea. I would think any reality show, sports obviously, wouldïżŒ go well with beer or “Mad Men” and “The Ranch” in repeats. Do you have any you think would do well? https://www.reuters.com/business/media-telecom/netflix-signs-co-marketing-deal-with-ab-inbev-promote-tv-shows-beer-2025-09-22/

Do you think reality TV gets unfairly dismissed as “not real entertainment”? I’ve worked in both scripted and unscripted, and honestly, the hours and skills required are just as intense. Sometimes it's even more chaotic in unscripted because there’s no script to fall back on. Yet I’ve had people roll their eyes when I say I work in reality, like it’s not “serious” or worthy of respect. For some, it’s just a stepping stone, but for others it’s a full career path.

So I am an Actor and Writer. That's all I have ever wanted. But the last past five years I gave content creating a try and that has become the best hybrid of both of my desires. And somehow that it has become pretty successful. So I've been trying to get into some entertainment jobs like writing, acting, or even content creating for companies but I honestly don't know where to go or who to apply. Can anyone help me give some direction?

Honestly I kinda want to start a boycott of ABC over this whole Kimmel thing, but not because I actually care. I just want to watch Republicans start watching ABC in response because the idea of a whole bunch of conservative guys watching 3 hours of The Bachelor just to “own the libs” is hilarious to me.

What commercials do you still remember from the 80s/90s? Hearing the news about the Coporation for Public Broadcasting (and PBS, NPR, etc.) today immediately brought me back to this :15 TV spot: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9tk-hVHYoTY&pp=ygUyQ29ycG9yYXRpb24gZm9yIHB1YmxpYyBicm9hZGNhc3RpbmcgY29tbWVyY2lhbCA5MHM%3D It’s honestly crazy the impact marketing can have subconsciously.

Paramount is officially the winner in the WBD bid war. I found this whole process particularly interesting, as its not every day you see auch massive media firms merging. It was also a great example of value beyond hard dollars in M&A. Do you think they made the right choice? https://www.adweek.com/convergent-tv/its-netflixs-move-after-wbd-says-paramount-has-superior-offer/

Why do streamers insist on confusing their customers? As if the name change for HBO Max wasn't enough now Paramount is getting in on the fun. They're dropping Showtime from Paramount Plus. Not the content, but they're explanation would certainly make you think so. https://www.theverge.com/streaming-wars/692159/paramount-plus-premium-showtime

InBev and Netflix announced a broad marketing deal, that includes ads, live events, and product integration in shows. If this goes well, I think we'll see a rush by other beverage companies to do the same. What do you think? https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/business-news/netflix-global-marketing-advertising-deal-ab-inbev-1236376057/

Has anyone seen marketing lean into this? I'm sort of fascinated with this resurgence of mid-2000s and early 2010s TV. A lot of my friends have mentioned rewatching or discovering shows that have long ended. Most of the time it's because of clips on Insta, TikTok, or YouTube. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/07/12/briefing/comfort-viewing.html
