      Professionals in Ireland

      AI/ML Engineer
      1mo

I transitioned from IT Infrastructure Engineering to an AI Specialist career in Ireland by building on my technical foundation, earning a First‑Class MSc in AI, and developing real projects in machine learning, data systems, and responsible AI. My journey shows that with consistency, curiosity, and the courage to upskill, professionals can successfully pivot into AI. If you’re a tech professional thinking about transitioning into AI, your existing skills are more valuable than you think...

Seeing a lot of rhetoric around accenture betting big on AI and transforming internally and our clients with big bets etc etc... other than a copilot license does anyone think anything we have done internally with AI is actually helping people or improving productivity? Like MME, my scheduling, MMS, anyone worked with an SA or CTS knows it's all excel. Like its just more work on this level from what I can see rather than AI or automation or any technical advancement in years. . .

Curious if anyone felt the pressure of AI in the field? I want to stay ahead of the curve and I’m also worried about the job security of our industry. I think most of us see the seeds at our companies being planted to eventuality lean heavier into AI. I think supply chain is undervalued at most companies and would look to cut the cost their first. Has anyone looked into AI certifications or degrees? Has anyone been able to integrate AI successfully into their everyday?

      Manager

I keep thinking how AI is going to force alot of people to become entrepreneurs and make money independently. Productivity will improve in every professional services/ administrative job, require fewer people and push people out. Other fields cant support the supply of labor. Our culture has become accustomed to a career tractory or path for so long that I think that correction is going to be incredibly painful. Most of us show up, do a thing, and get paid.

Just out of curiosity, what type of AI tools or training have some of you finance professionals done or heard of that you have found useful to optimize any of your reporting or monthly/quarterly workflow tasks. I work in defense, so obviously we have special sensitivity regarding 3rd party tools...so open-sourced things like chatgpt are a no-go. Just kinda curious if there are any good courses or tools anyone found helpful to understand how AI can help us...

      3mo

Over the past decade, my work has evolved from traditional predictive modeling to building reliable, compliant, and cost-efficient Large Language Model solutions. I’m now seeking opportunities to lead or contribute to advanced Generative AI initiatives, especially those involving hybrid RAG architectures, knowledge graphs, and fine-tuned open-source models like LLaMA 3 and Mistral. I’m excited to collaborate and engage in conversations shaping the future of AI.

What are people seeing and hearing about how AI will impact the work that we do, whether it’s consulting, planning, or risk and review functions? I cannot see how it would have as big an impact as in the compliance space. I have been pretty underwhelmed by my experience with internal and external AI tools, but I’m also early enough in my career that I don’t want to bury my head in the sand. Anyone have thoughts about the current or future state of AI tools?

      Designers

Social Media and Creative Content Specialist
      9mo

I’ve been exploring AI in product and packaging design, using it for realistic mockups, background variations, and faster concept visualization. It’s boosted efficiency and client presentations, but I’m curious about the long-term impact. How are other designers using AI in their workflow? Do clients value AI-assisted design as much as traditional methods? Any advice on balancing creativity with AI automation? Would love to hear your insights!
