Why cant law firms that are advertising positions state their hybrid policy & salary range in the description? That can make all the difference when applying for jobs & time wouldnt be wasted. It's taken a London firm a week to get back to me with the salary & office attendance (both of which are at the low end compared to what I have already). I was advised by their talent team to attend anyway as they thought I'd be a good fit so interviewed but it was all for nothing as I cant meet that

I got a promotion, but the raise is minimal — only 10% — and lower than what I see advertised for similar positions. There was an ad for the same position at my company two years ago, and even then the lower end of the salary range was 25% higher than what I was offered. Is this because it’s an internal promotion? Or has the market really gotten so bad that salaries have dropped by 25%? Do companies exaggerate salary ranges in job ads only to offer less in the end?

PCP's in large cities. What is your experience with adults demanding Adderall and other stimulants? It seems I get into an argument at least once or twice per week here in NYC with adults asking for this on a constant basis. Adult ADHD is a controversial Dx to begin with. And stimulants make you feel good and energized (yeah because it's cleaner meth basically). Some guy with aortic stenosis wanted me to continue his large doses. You know you can drop dead at any minute, right?

Why are agencies posting ads for a level above what they might be able to afford and then when recruiters jump on a call they start with a lower title and adjusted salary range? Is this a legal loophole specially in the NYC area or is it testing a candidate's desperation level? Happened twice! Even Ads posted from one platform to another, there is a discrepancy in titles. Did this happen with anyone else?

Received an offer from a large abu dhabi company (government owned, quite large) for 50k aed/month for Senior Manager equivalent. I am currently a PL at BCG with ~6 yoe - obviously a big comp hit, but wondering if im being low-balled or if BCG is just paying me too much. Anyone have insights into AD exits that could comment?
