I was listening to a vlog and the person said that alignment in your values with your workplace allows for freedom. Her example was high quality work being submitted consistently matters more than when you do the work. Do you have that kind if of working relationship with your leaders? An example this week on why I don’t feel I do: I work pacific hours at a central based organization. I’m not a morning person and would rather meetings be scheduled 8 am onwards. I was told I should be amenable.

As a designer over 10years, I’ve been feeling underconfident after returning from maternity leave. Today I received feedback about alignment and spacing issues in my InDesign file, and it made me feel like the client is doubting my skills. Has anyone ever received feedback like this? Is it normal to get comments about spacing or alignment sometimes? I know it’s a small thing, but I’m scared. I feel like I’m being judged, and I’ve started to feel a little bit of imposter syndrome. :(

I am having a very difficult time with a coworker and would really appreciate some advice. Stuart is at the same level of management as I am but in a different department, and we have the same boss. Stuart seemed to have always been of good character and we’ve worked well together. The only other HR employee is at an entry level. I’m a 6th year in big law practicing exclusively LMR and I’m starting to think about next steps in my career. I think I have a couple more years here, but partnership is unlikely. What does the process look like at Littler or FP for making partner/shareholder as a lateral? Is it a hard sell. Would my LMR practice be a bonus or set back—I literally don’t do any employment litigation. What does pay look like for new NESH/NEP? And which might be a better place to work? I’m in SoCal.

Working on a short project designing and developing a CNC Router/Milling Machine to do automotive wheel rims repair. Designed the mechanical hardware using extruded aluminum, worm gears and stepper motors. That was it for the actual machine hard part. Then developed the electronics proof of concept using Arduino and 4 stepper motor drivers for a 3 axis CNC Mill/Router. After wards, I continued to developing the PCB for a final commercial product.

Newish equity partner here (2012 Grad) and I have some advice for associates I wish someone would have told me ten years ago. DONT TRY TO PLEASE EVERYONE. It likely won't work and you will burn out. It is much easier and safer to pick a small group to please and forsake everyone else. This comes naturally to some but it was a struggle for me.

Searching during economic uncertainty has brought an extra layer of pressure and it’s been mentally exhausting. I feel like I’m going to take a position out of fear rather than alignment but at this point I need any role. Do you recommend taking anything and continuing to apply for something better or will this come back to haunt me?

Recently joined ACN as an MD. Anyone at Accenture's MD program can share whether the "vested" shares that you get from VEIP/ sign on process, are they marginable like the ones that you get from a regular brokerage account? E.g., I think they are managed via UBS, can you borrow against them either for cash or buy more ACN stocks. Thanks!
