Has anyone here applied to a company called Coforge? 2 different people reached out to me regarding my application. The 1st person called to ask some pre-screening questions and then scheduled me for a Level 1 online interview. Later, 2nd person from the same company also called, asked the same pre-screening questions, but then told me I am not qualified 'cause they were looking for specific skills. The 1st person never mentioned that at all. Are these people just tripping and wasting my time?

🚩 What to know before applying at Co-op: Operations Analyst I worked at Co-op for 4 years. As a young international employee, I faced racism, bullying, and complete lack of support. My manager was unprofessional, sent tasks after hours, ignored my mental health, and retaliated when I raised concerns. I was suspended after resigning — not for misconduct, but for speaking the truth. This company protects toxic people and punishes honesty. Not a safe space. Think twice before joining

I applied for a job on a job search website. I then came across a job that would have worked perfectly, and in accordance with my Business Administration degree, well, here lies the issue as to why I am posting this. I read the requirements for the job, as well as the location for the job and the position. The job posting said the location was "in person." So I applied, attended interviews, and went to the training when I found out through the paperwork, If. outdoors is required please state

Let's talk about scapegoating fire alarm engineers. In Ireland it seems to be an implied term of your contract of employment that you will issue a D2 certificate of compliance of a Fire Detection and Alarm System regardless of the state of the system. Issuing a declaration of engineer's competence and system's compliance leaves that engineer responsible for his declaration. When I raised that there was no Fire Detection in an AirBNB apartment, I was fired by Catch Security Systems ltd.

      Jobs in STEM

      Research Chemist
      4mo

I recently graduated with my PhD in Analytical Chemistry. During my PhD, I researched surface modification and electrochemistry for CO₂ reduction, gaining hands-on experience with PVD, XPS, etc. Although I recently graduated, I have been applying since October, albeit unsuccessfully. I’m particularly interested in jobs where I can continue to use my surface chemistry and electrochemistry background, ideally in surface, materials, or related R&D roles. I appreciate any advice or referrals.

What is with all these HVAC/R companies putting out multiple adds about a job and then when you apply to the job you get an interview and then they say nothing ever? Like ok if I’m not a good fit please explain to me why, especially if it’s a company that always has an add out looking for “SENIOR” techs or “EXPERIENCED” techs. Whoever is doing the adds needs to speak with the one doing doing the hiring.

$110k offer for research scientist focused on electrochemical sensors in Huntsville, al. Decent benefits but I was thinking 125k would be more appropriate due to the level of specialty and difficulty of the role. Bench work, project management and grant writing. I have 5 years of direct experience working on similar projects. Do you think 110 is a competitive offer or i should really push for more?

This might be controversial, but I need to ask the question concerning COVID. We were instructed to follow the science and trust the experts, but in other areas, we are told just to believe. And not follow the science, and I think, you know what I'm talking about, what are your thoughts on this? Please help me figure it out.
