I don't understand why I'm the villain here. I was handed an email template for layoffs and a list of 112 employee emails to send it to. So I did. I get that everyone is upset about losing their jobs but complaining that they were laid off via email is a little crazy. Is there a good way to do these things? Is the CEO and I supposed to sit down with 112 people individually and tell them they're out of a job? Would that really make people feel better?

With the roads still being bad especially where I am, I called my boss saying I’m not coming in with all the icy outside. I’m going to break my bones and end up having accidents which will be their fault. The one who answered, told me to call back and let the director know. She said the director will make me go and try to have me come home early if there are less kids 😤 I’m not going to break my bones. It’s going to be their fault if something happens. They don’t even care for our safety at all.

      Salary Negotiations

What are some strategies, tactics and factors to consider to ask for a company equity or other comp components with startups? I'm considering a role as the first, true sales person with a very small scientific data startup company with less than 30 fulltime people. They had one seed funding round with investment under $5 million. My job will have a base salary with commission components but the sales cycle is 12-24 months with very little existing pipeline. It's a career path risk.

~ 2 years at ZS London. About to get promoted from assc. to assc. consultant soon. Have an offer from analysys mason. Senior consultant, transf. & value creation. Pay will roughly be the same either way. Main goal is to get into mbb, if this helps me get there I want to move, but if it's a step in the wrong direction, I'll stay at ZS. Any thoughts would be great. And in general about analysys mason

How much weight are you guys actually putting on unvested equity in this economy? I just hit my 4-year cliff at a fintech and my paper money is technically worth $400k, but the company keeps pushing back the IPO date. I’m being recruited by a competitor offering a $20k higher base and actual cash sign-on bonuses. It feels weird to walk away from the equity, but I can’t pay my mortgage with promised shares.

How’s kindbody fertility program? I have to go through hysteroscopy polypectomy. I was wondering if I should opt for a general gynac procedure or should I go through Kindbody and get all the tests if it’s completely covered and go through hysteroscopy polypectomy woth fertility clinic. Any experience with Kindbody will be helpful. Also if there is a good fertility clinic recommendation in ATL area.

I am starting to think that its just not worth it to bust your butt in fdd for b4 and other larger firms like GT RSM. It looks like most of the firms just had layoff including my firm which were NOT based on metrics. People with 96% util got laid off. This is genuinely bizarre that we are just a number to the firm. Are there any firm which dont do layoffs for the fun of it?

      Interview Tips

      Manager
      2mo

Another exercise for experienced interviewees. What's a great way to answer this question? " You open your laptop to start one task, and within ten minutes, you’ve answered three emails, two messages, and forgotten what you originally sat down to do. How do you protect your focus when everything feels urgent?" I love mentioning the Eisenhower matrix, but is it too cliché at this stage?
