      All Things MBB

This industry is a scam. I don't know why anyone would work here instead of tech. McKinsey reported 2% growth rate in 2024, literally lost to inflation (3-4%). This is a fatal structural blow to the business model + total failure to capitalize on AI growth. BCG/Bain not even in the picture. In the onboarding class of my MBB earlier this year, not ONE had a background or education in tech. Garbage in, garbage out. This dying scam industry needs to shut down and just return the money to sharehold

I've never lived in CA. Is this an acc desc of ppl in SF? Ivy education -> "alphabet soup" startups -> raise VC $$ -> get acq’d (x times) -> "angel investor" -> hired as Big Tech VP helps other new ppl repeat. They’ve never run a real long term biz, just played w/ VC cash for a couple yrs, yet they're 28 year old millionaires with exec pos in multibillion corps. 99% of startups do nothing; it’s a self-propagating cycle of VC/acq fodder all supported by huge tech margins. AI has accel this

      Job Hunting in Tech

      Trust and Safety Associate

Hello everyone I’m urgently looking for a full-time role in the SF Bay Area. I have 2+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, including high-risk content moderation (CSAM) policy feedback, QA, and supporting moderators. I’m aiming to transition into a direct role at companies like Google, Meta, OpenAI, Discord, etc. Ideally, I’m seeking a role with growth potential and possible visa sponsorship, as I’m on TPS. If you know of any openings, referrals, or have advice, I’d be truly grateful!

I’m a recent graduate from New York University (May 2025). Currently transitioning into finance positions after completing SIE examination. Was hoping someone could refer me for a 2026 Blackrock rotational program application code!! I have interned with Julius Bär and have experience with HSBC. Additionally, if anyone has any recommendations for next steps as someone moving from a non-finance degree into financial graduate opportunities.

I just moved from bay area to Chicago at the beginning of June, i am on final round interviews with open AI (25k hike for based TBD on equity). I'm seriously debating moving back to the bay but also feel like it's nuts. I moved because i was tired of doing long distance with my SO, so am i crazy to go back? more than pay im thinking it'll be good experience and open up amazing ops for later. Thoughts?

Would appreciate some advice on how to best prepare for a non-tech M6 role at Microsoft. Is there anything specific about Microsoft I should keep in mind? As a L7 at AWS I have a high level understanding of how to frame my scope, scale, and impact, but want to make sure I am super prepared. I passed the recruiter screen and my next meeting is with the hiring manager, a CVP level executive.
