I interviewed today for a sales support role and expect a decision next week. I’ve prepared a lot, but want at least one backup plan in case I don’t get it. I’m fully considering a small eCommerce shop, but also need ideas for local job options within a short drive in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, IL. I've also been sending cold emails to some other places, but either they didn't have anything available or never got back to me, and I'm not sure if I should keep going at this point.

Leaving EY Accounting Advisory - two backup offers are GT FDD and PwC FDD. Which one would you take given the aforementioned parameters? On one hand - No CPA needed to make M at GT. PwC says it can be CPA, CFA or MBA (wonder if true) GT is 2 years S - M, PwC is 3 years. Comp: PwC is reg bonus, but GT pays top managers extra equity bonus. Local GT office states that they’re trying to double headcount by 2030, while PwC says they’re only hiring one senior. Exit Ops: I want PMI, Carves etc

After I came back from my last PTO, one of my execs requested that when I'm gone on my next trip, that he get a different backup. Normally I'd discuss with my manager (managed by separate admin supervisor, not execs), but she happens to have been my backup. I'm looking for advice on how to best bring it up when the reason is that he feels she did a poor job. To be fair to her, she's currently going through health issues and is overworked by having more than one job at the company.

Interview Question: how many of you take notes with you to your in person interviews -specifically situation type question/answer. Honestly, we never know what they will ask us and interviews are nerve wrecking and sometimes with multiple people. I personally see nothing wrong with having these as a backup should you need to refernece them so you can give a clear, thoughtful reply. I have a couple of interviews lined up next week so looking forward to hearing back. TIA :)

Working in erstwhile Dunn Solutions which has now merged with Kaar technologies Inc has been an incredibly enlightening experience.
