𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐈 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐈 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 I’ve been spending time with BCG’s Retail Banking Report, and Exhibit 7 — the Agentic AI Staircase — is the clearest framework I’ve seen for understanding where banks actually sit today and what AI-first banking really means. Head of Defi
      1mo

I left a stable VP track at a bulge bracket to join a Web3 Finance startup in 2024, and now my resume looks like a crime scene to traditional recruiters. They see the Head of DeFi title and immediately assume I’ve lost my mind or forgot how to read a standard balance sheet. I’m trying to move back into Treasury or Risk, but the bias against anyone who touched alternative assets is absolutely brutal right now. How do you re-brand a disruptor phase back into boring, reliable banker without looking like a failure?

      Relationship Specialist I
      8mo

Working at a bank where management aren’t leaders, cower when corporate visits and run a skeleton crew 6 1/2 days a week. I updated my résumé catered to Client Finance (I’m really interested in a career in the Wealth Management industry). I’ve been moved to the 2nd phase of hiring with BoA for a “Consumer Investments - Investment Specialist Trainee” role, have an interview next week for Fidelity’s “Customer Relationship Advocate” and UBS Bank’s (Client Service/Client Associate). Any advice?

Welcome to the new edition of the Fintech Wrap Up! This week showed how scale still matters, but only when backed by strong infrastructure. Bank of America’s consumer bank generates over 41 billion dollars in revenue and 10.8 billion dollars in profit, yet retail banking continues to miss on personalisation despite high customer expectations. https://open.substack.com/pub/samboboev/p/coinbases-strategy-map-baas-vs-embedded?utm_campaign=post-expanded-share&utm_medium=web

I recently got married, and we are planning to combine finances fully. We are not well off by any means, but we still do our best to save what we can.I bank with wells Fargo and he banks with Chase. Would like some suggestions on where we should open a new account together. In GA for reference. A little nervous about potentially doing online banking that doesn't have a physical branch but some seem to have great interest in savings accounts.

Anybody have a bank that they like? Recently married and looking to make a new joint account for joint expenses & bills (pls don't give me advice about that it's happening). Also need to finally break up with Bank of America because... well basically everything about that company. Who do you use and why do you recommend them? Heard good things about Ally, a good choice? Anyone use the banking offerings from Fidelity/SoFi/Wealthfront?

Do you use sinking funds? I'm sure most of you are at least familiar with them and if so you can skip the link. For those that do, do you keep multiple accounts so each has it's own purpose or do you just have one general sinking account separate from your checking and emergency fund? For those that do not, why not? https://www.cnbc.com/select/what-are-sinking-funds/

Anyone here work at shawbrook bank? Whats it like? I’ve been offered a role but a bit sceptical on taking on the role due to it being a small bank. I currently work for a large bank that I’ve worked in for many years but trying to weigh up my options. Pay is a lot more to where I am but trying to weigh up whether it would be worth the move or not.

Recruiter Tip: Your 'Summary' section is prime real estate—stop wasting it on 'Hardworking professional seeking a challenge.' Tell me exactly what you’ve built and the $ or % impact it had. If I have to hunt for your wins, I’m already moving to the next profile. Candidates: what’s one win you’re proud of but haven't put on your resume yet?
