Hi all — quick question for the group. I'm working with a fast-growing life sciences manufacturing company in the regenerative medicine (tissue grafting space), and we're looking to bring in a top-tier accounting firm that really understands biotech manufacturing. Specifically, we need deep experience with inventory and WIP costing, COGS, cash-to-accrual transition, etc. If you've worked with or know of firms that are truly strong in this niche (national or boutique)... Thank you very much.

After-work events often center around alcohol (happy hours), and it’s easy for things to go a bit far. Non-alcoholic options exist, but ordering a soda can feel awkward when others are drinking. In an industry built on risk awareness, this aspect of the insurance culture surprises me. How do you stay social without feeling pressure to drink? I wonder if more companies will restrict or even prohibit alcohol reimbursement. Is banning alcohol the next expense management lever coming soon?

My co-workers have been asking me to go for drinks after work, it's become a regular thing and is starting to drain me. I'm not sure how to turn it down because it's seen as 'team-building' and I understand that this is important, but I don't particularly enjoy drinking that often, and it's also hurting my wallet. Has anyone else had a similar thing or how do you turn this down without sounding like a downer or getting peer pressured? I don't want it to impact my experience at work

Is it really about the quantity of content produced now? Or would you still argue that quality trumps quantity. When the folks who know what they're doing focus on quantity, you can't help but think there must be something to it. Folks being, Pepsi-Co and VaynerChuck media, who are now in a new relationship that they say is based on “co-sourcing”. Pretty much both parties share business KPIs!

Heart react if you think this is a good example of GREAT product marketing. I bought three of the pina colada ones, and my family has decided to get me drunk on the.. ..literally.. Both my daughters made some amazing cocktails with this, but that's besides the point. I bought them because they look irresistible, and I think it's being marketed incredibly well.
