Responding to negative feedback? Junior associate- sent a document to a partner along with a question in a comment bubble. Called out the comment bubble in the email. Partner didn’t reply to my email and showed the draft to the client with the comment bubble still in there. Partner is now annoyed with me because it was not “client ready,” and found another typo. I knew the document would eventually be client facing but didn’t realize it was an immediate thing. How do I smooth things over?

Just when we all thought AI peaked and bubble is about to burst, new stuff comes along and pushes the limit. It's been good 2 years now of the AI bubble is going to burst. IMO, I dont think the bubble is going anymore, its here to stay. How do you adjust to this new world? I hate it when my boss asks me to find new ways to use AI. Somehow without comp or training, I could be the bottleneck. Do you feel that companies are pressuring employees to magically make AI work in their business?

“The AI bubble is driven by monopolists who've conquered their markets and have no more growth potential, who are desperate to convince investors that they can continue to grow by moving into some other sector, e.g. "pivot to video," crypto, blockchain, NFTs, AI, and now "super-intelligence." The topline growth that AI companies are selling comes from replacing most workers with AI, and re-tasking the surviving workers as AI babysitters ("humans in the loop"), which won't work.“

Has anyone here considered a balloon mortgage? It’s a loan with smaller monthly payments up front but requires a large final “balloon payment” later. For some, it’s a smart short-term strategy with lower costs. For others, it can be risky if you’re not prepared for the lump sum. I found a detailed guide that explains how it works, pros, cons, calculators, and lender tips 👉 https://dreamhomemortgage.com/balloon-mortgage-a-smart-strategy-for-short-term-goals/ #Mortgage #HomeBuying

Is it even possible to overcome growing up in a bubble? I grew up very sheltered, all guy school, no friends, no contact with outside world, strict uncaring parents who wanted me to be isolated, and feel like it ruined my life. Now I feel like I just try to win approval from others and can’t form relationships that don’t involve me willingly being exploited by people who don’t see me as a person. It impacts my ability to work and do anything meaningful.

(dont mknd my english) as a student that have been working at a bubble tea stall for 1 month. its torture. store in charge is so strict on the first day. then blame on newbies that barely know anything. if any cup put wrong topping, then say is us even if it was her fault. no sense of guilt. then if customer drink wrong, look for junior first and not apologise to the customer. I basically already know how to handle this (not blaming on juniors) 2 of the longer period worker left cus of her

What Is a Balloon Mortgage? Worth It or Risky? I’ve been researching what is a balloon mortgage, and it’s interesting. You get lower monthly payments for a few years, but then a big lump sum is due. Seems great for short-term plans, but risky if you’re not ready to refinance. Credit score and dti for mortgage really matter here. Anyone here used one successfully? I found some helpful insights here: https://dreamhomemortgage.com/balloon-mortgage-a-smart-strategy-for-short-term-goals/

-how can I re-study these problem solving questions and understand its logic? Happy weekend, folks! I've been rejected at interview because I couldn't print this formula "1 22 333 4444" at the interview without looping and use PHP function str_repeat($val, $time) inside that loop! I'm a Full stack web developer (laravel & vue) with 3 years of experience, also I remember I couldn't solve it at the university 😂. The interviewee solved it and I've explained his nested loop code!

The glitter from December’s window display is still stuck in the floorboards, but the store is finally quiet. Outside, a bitter wind whips across Front Street. My lead server, Marcus, looked drained while folding napkins. No "manager talk" today. I just pulled a stool up and asked, "How’s your mom doing?" He exhaled, the tension leaving his shoulders. In the post-holiday slump, we aren't just staff and supervisors; we’re just people catching our breath in the cold.

My wife is a nurse and works night at a local hospital. A few nights ago she came home (7am) and went to bed. Later that morning I took our 6 year old to daycare. About halfway there he said “why is there a balloon on the floor”? We pull into his daycare and I check the backseat. There’s a condom on the floor. My wife has been cheating on me. I don’t even know what to do or how to bring it up. She has no idea I know.
