Hi all! I'm in a bit of a pickle career wise. The company I am currently patroning (1 1/2 years) is finally taking steps to improve our center and try to help us RBTs out- but i'm worried about the changes actually implementing. The last year has been nothing but understaffed hell and major mismanagement. I'm so burnt out, but this being my first RBT job I'm a little nervous of leaving and ending up at a worse company. Any RBTs, BCBAs or people at all have any advice? CO based.

I have recently returned to work after a period off due to depression. Now I am back at work I have really felt like a new person after completing my CBT course. One thing I'm doing is going through my CBT again just to reafirm the modules so I fully grasp them in life and make the most of them. I have since noticed how negative one of my colleagues is, with regards to work and life in general. Does anyone have a similar situation & how do you think it's best to deal with someone so negative.

I’m currently a Senior Associate at KPMG and an international professional on F-1 (STEM OPT). This year is my final attempt in the H-1B lottery, and I’m looking to learn from others who may have navigated a similar situation. CBIZ has not approved promotions and raises, even though they were communicated as being effective September 1st. This inconsistency is creating significant frustration. Please follow through on what is communicated: if meetings are promised before promotions and raises take effect, hold them; if September 1st is given as the effective date, honor it. The lack of follow-through is causing considerable unrest among the legacy Marcum team.

I’m applying for a position at Chubb in a state where THC/marijuana is not legal. I understand Chubb typically requires a drug screening for employment but I was wondering if anyone could confirm as to whether Chubb drug screens for THC/marijuana for new hires? I understand companies can still prohibit use even if in a legal state, but have heard mixed feedback regarding whether Chubb still tests for THC/marijuana in 2025. If anyone knows and could let me know, it’d be much appreciated.

Finally getting back into ABA therapy as an RBT. I took some time away due to some personal matters but: I’m considering (especially with more experience down the line) getting my degree in ABA so I can start getting my first in the door to become a BCaBA. Soon working towards my masters to become a BCBA. I know the journey will be long but was wondering if anyone here who is in this field of work, have some recommendations or suggestions when considering going for my degree?

Working at Center for Social Dynamics as a RBT is confusing, they are quite misleading in their reward and raise schedules. They said that I had received a floating 8 hour holiday and would be receiving a raise by the end of October. But come October, they threw a smoke screen and suddenly shifted my raise to the floating 8 hour holiday that I was told that I had already received, would be my "new" reward. Don't work here unless you don't value growth or being respected.

Currently at Big 4 in IT Audit. Was recently contacted by a recruiter for two positions at CBIZ; one in their Assurance Transformation role (was told this is an internal role), and the other in Advisory. Never heard of CBIZ. Anyone have work experience there? What’s pay like? Culture like? Pros/cons? I know they jut acquired another firm so I’m assuming there’s probably some pain points there too. Tia.
