Just curious what others would do in my situation. I have around $20k in cc debt across 2 cards ($6k apple MC and $14k amex gold) due to unforeseen emergency circumstances (not incurring anymore currently) and have $5k to put towards it now (and able to make minimum payments on both regardless). Is it better to basically pay off the apple (will be able to pay off last 1k by end of month) and just have the one card left and continually pay it down or better to lower both balances with the $5k?

I wanted to move closer to home, so I'm currently working in a small 5-bed CCU after years of busy Med-Surg as a new grad nurse. It’s super quiet and peaceful, especially compared to what I was doing before. Sometimes, we only have 1 patient or just telemonitoring. I’m all caught up on my education modules and have hours of downtime, so I feel like I should be doing more. Would it be worth going for my CCRN with such low acuity, or should I just enroll in an NP or MSN program? How would you use the free time?

I'm really not certain where to post this. I'm currently in a Municipal Advisory role and have been interested in returning back to school to complete my Master's in Healthcare Administration with a Compliance focus, and then complete either the CHC or CHPC certifications. I don't currently know anyone in a Compliance role, rather it be Healthcare or anywhere else. I would love to meet new people in the field that can give me some insights and advice. Please comment if you're willing to chat!

I am planning to apply for the CCMP through ACMP. A few years ago, I got a graduate level certification that took me two years to complete with an accredited (but not ACMP approved) university. It was all class room time, 4 hours a week, but each class was 3 credit hours. So do I submit based on my hours soent in class or by credit hours. Unless I missed it, this isn’t cover on the ACMP site. When I emailed them the question, they said I need to submit my application to comment.

      Interview Tips

Just had an interview... the person interviewing me is by NO MEANS a subject matter expert. Not aware that Cisco reorganized their certs 5+ years ago and failed to mention on the post that a valid CCNA is REQUIRED. I'm working to renew mine and was told by everyone I went to advice to said "post it, you're working towards it." Hell, most job posts I've came across still list CCNA Routing and Switching, CCNA Securiy, etc on job posts, haven't existed since FEB 2020. Stop the Scam!

Currently at a portco working directly with C suite. Comp + equity is great, and I have powerful people pulling for me at this company. Work is somewhat intellectually challenging, and the people part of working with and managing work output of type B people here is challenging. I've had just 2 years in consulting and 2 years here. I'm worried that I'm not challenging myself to hit my intellectual and professional potential by working in this environment. Is this valid?

Dynamic currency conversion (DCC) is a financial service used in international transactions, when a customer from one country makes a credit or debit card purchase in another. DCC allows the transaction to be processed at the point of sale in the currency of the cardholder’s home country. The global credit card payments market is forecast to jump from $524.9 billion in 2022 to $1.2 trillion by 2032, and cross-border payments are an important piece of that growth.

      Nurses

Just moved to Durham, NC and currently working at Duke on a Cardiology SDU. Duke does not allow any nurse autonomy unless in the ICU setting. Floor RNs can't start IVs, place NGTs, order labs per protocol (i.e. heparin & PTTs), order pt supplies, DC irrelevant orders, etc. I am not wanting to lose skills and I feel like Duke does not allow nurses to critically think unless in the ICU. Does anyone work at UNC? Is it the same there too? Any advice would be amazing.
