      Healthcare

      Behavioral Health Clinician
      5mo

Lately I’ve been thinking that the most valuable skill in healthcare isn’t clinical expertise anymore, it’s emotional endurance. The ability to absorb stress, grief, anger, and constant pressure without breaking seems more rewarded than actual skill or knowledge. That realization worries me. It feels like the system is built to test how much people can take rather than how well they can care. Does anyone else feel uneasy about what that says about where healthcare is headed?

Hi, all! After a long detour in religious studies, I'm ready to move to a career in healthcare. I had always planned to make the move, but admittedly, I didn't tailor my experience or education in religion to the medicine part the way I should have. I plan on going back to school for nursing as soon as it's financially possible, but does anyone have any advice or guidance on where to start in getting experience or work in healthcare for a 30+ yo looking for a career change?

      Licensed Nursing Home Administrator
      3w

After this conference for nursing home administration required CEUs. I’m getting sick of these companies wanting all this experience or I go into a dumpster fire of a building that has so many health violations that my license would be screwed. I’m trying to pursue something still in healthcare but I’m not sure what I can do. Im not sure realistically what I could do that I could transition my skills to do. But something that pays well without the headaches of nursing homes.

I’m especially proud of how VXI has helped shape not just my career, but our family’s future. Thanks to the opportunities and support I’ve received, my daughter is now in her first year of medical school, pursuing her dream of becoming a doctor. The company has also supported my son’s dream of becoming an Olympian by helping with the cost of his swimming training and equipment— expenses that are not easy to manage

Hi ! I have a BS in Biology and I’m looking for any entry-level science-related or healthcare-related job (clinical research, lab assistant, healthcare support, admin, etc.). I don’t have prior experience yet, but I’m eager to learn, reliable, and have a strong science background plus healthcare volunteering. Open to remote roles or in-person around Fort Worth / DFW. Any leads or advice would be appreciated — thank you!

Mercy Community Healthcare Franklin, Tennessee. Don't work there. They have extremely high turn over. Top management leaving. They don't give you No time for documentation or sufficient time for intakes. You will be doing documentation at least 1.5 to 2.0 hours on your own time per day to keep up.. They call themselves a Christian nonprofit well maybe in name only. Christians would take care of their employees.

I’m considering a role in the Publicis Health network and wanted to know what we think of their benefits package? We know omnicom/IPG is not competitive and Havas just followed suit with changing their PTO policy. The networks seem to be slowly stripping away the joys and perks of this industry, but independent agencies don’t seem to be hiring much.

I have 17 years of experience in healthcare, specifically in both long-term and short-term care, and I recently obtained my Master’s in Healthcare Administration. I’ve been actively applying for hospital positions but haven’t had much success so far. I’m wondering if applying for a fellowship program might improve my chances of getting into the hospital setting.
