I recently interviewed for a role at JPMorgan in Charlotte. The recruiter mentioned that the salary cap for this role is just $3K more than what I’m currently making at Bank of America. While I’m genuinely excited about the opportunity and the team seems like a great fit, I’m torn on whether it makes sense financially to make a move for such a small increase, especially considering the required 5-days-a-week in-office policy. 🫠 Has anyone been able to negotiate past the stated salary “cap”?

I've been very happy at CAPS. It's a great environment with wonderful people. Their expectations are clear, we have regular routine communications and great benefits like staff points and team building opportunities on a regular basis. The leadership really does want the business and their staff to succeed and are also flexible with my needs within reason. I know what is expected of me and get education to keep doing things correctly for our patients who are amazing.

Capgemini Invent North America just lost another really good junior consultant because the company is unwilling to make merit-based (out of cycle) promotions and adapt its talent management model to current trends and employee sentiment — despite the never-ending barrage of pulse surveys. And yet, it continues to overpay for experienced hires with limited experience in digital/tech transformation — our primary value prop. Unfortunate.

Does anyone know the headcount approval process in Morgan Stanley? I got a verbal offer from the team, but they told me later their headcount is still pending the management’s approval and thus written offer should “hold on” currently. I am not sure if “hold on” means hc is withdrawn or it needs longer time to wait - Has anyone been in the similar situations before and could be so kind to tell me what’s your case and outcomes. Thanks mates in advance!

CAPS truly feels like family. The culture is team-oriented, supportive, and grounded in respect. Leadership genuinely cares about their staff—not just as employees, but as people. There’s a strong sense of collaboration, clear communication, and pride in the work being done. You’re supported, valued, and encouraged to grow, which makes all the difference. It’s refreshing to be part of an organization that puts both patients and staff first.

Hello Fellow Travellers. My girlfriend are heading to Amalfi Coast and Capri in September for about 5-6 days. Been to Italy 20 times but never there. Was thinking 2-3 nights in Capri and 2-3 nights somewhere on the Amalfi Coast. But I can’t figure out which town on the coast is best to call home base while exploring. Would greatly appreciate any recommendations of towns, hotels, etc. thanks in advance

I'm looking to re-enter the Salt Lake City job market as a Packaging Engineer. Most of my experience is in medical devices and pharmaceuticals, Does anyone know of companies in the Salt Lake City region that are hiring or typically employ packaging engineers with experience in leading capital projects? I'd really appreciate any leads, referrals, or insights. Thanks!

      In-House Counsel

I'm a fifth year CapM associate looking to go in house, and just got an offer at a small cap pubco. Salary is 245k, bonus target is 60% of salary, 480k in RSUs vesting annually over the next three years. Too good to be true? Feels like there's going to be a catch in there somewhere...
