We had our holiday party this week and HR made the announcement that some people had organized an after party at a local Chinese restaurant/dive bar that people go to often apparently. This HR person said that the limit was 2 Mai Tais, not because the company was paying for it but because that's how strong the drinks are. We later found out that some people also call that bar the "roofie bar" because it has a reputation. This is my first year with this company 🙃

Hi everyone! I’m currently not working and looking to join a Toastmasters club in Toronto to build confidence and public speaking skills. I visited a club before but it wasn’t the right fit, so I’d love recommendations for clubs that feel supportive, engaging, and fun — especially ones that are great for beginners and have a good mix of people. Any suggestions on clubs you’ve enjoyed and why? 🙌

I really wish the Gummies in this box tasted like fried chicken, pickles, french fries, and macaroni and cheese. I’m quite sure that would be awful, but I would be adventurous enough to try them. I thought this was a fun crossover for some of these brands. (I liked it last year too, but this year there’s more.) Have you seen any fun things for Valentine’s Day?

I hit President’s Club two years in a row and the only thing I got was a LinkedIn shoutout. No trip, no bonus, not even a plaque. I didn’t do it for the trophy, but damn, it feels like we’re celebrating mediocrity now. It used to be a huge honor, and now it feels like just another checkbox. Should Club still mean something?

I just saw this Collab. I actually love it, and I don’t even drink Arizona iced tea. I would 100% buy it though if it was Diet Dr Pepper. Do you have anything you’re loyal to like that? I can’t be there only one loyal to their drink brand like that.
