      Big Law

I’m a burned out senior associate with two young kids. I’ve had back to back 200+ hours and my kids are no picnic - I’ve been snapping and screaming at them and I’m miserable with myself as a mom. I am having physical pain, I’m so exhausted and I can’t sleep well. I’m pretty sure I’m on the verge of a mental breakdown. Has anyone ever taken a short FMLA medical leave? My therapist would absolutely support it but not sure what else I need. Please DM me if you’ve had experience.

I've loved working at Kare Health & Wellness in Spfld, MO for so many reasons. It started with people. All staff that I've worked alongside have been kind and respectful. As I learned more about Kare, the more I believed in the mission and the heart of why we do what we do. As someone who has to believe and have "buy in" to where I work, I quickly understood that what we do here helps people. Its the real deal. I've never worked anywhere else that has allowed me to have so much autonomy.

Greetings! I have been working for Elevance Health for three months now and I can honestly say that this is the best company that I have ever worked for. The culture and diversity are phenomenal, everyone has their own strengths, ideas, stories to tell of their experiences that they bring to the table. Elevance Health truly care about their employees not just by words but actions, they want you to have an overall balance life. The intense trainings will equip you to be your best at your job.

I have experienced major life challenges over the last 4 years = set backs. One of the changes was emerge legal custody of a newborn back in 2023. My end goal is to start a Holistic wellness clinic. Originally I was planning to get my NP license, then open a clinic. i almost have my LPN. However, lack of finances & time is a major factor. Should i go into debt, attend college for 8+years and open traditional healthcare clinic or self educate and open a supplemental health and wellness clinic?

Why does a company named Tilt who "manage leave" need to exist? And why are they asking for protected health information, when they do not approve FMLA? Why are they sharing that information, as well as private conversation details with employers? I feel like my privacy has been violated, and HIPPA laws are being broken. This is causing great stress that I really don't need after receiving 2 life changing medical diagnoses in three weeks. They claim they 'manage my healthcare". NOPE.

      Jobs in Retail & Hospitality

      Retail Store Manager
      10mo

Are you able to take care of your health working in retail? I guess the one great thing going on for me is that I'm on my feet all day, and I get a lot of movement in, but I have no time at all to think of what meals to make or meal prep. I'm sure if I were better disciplined on my days off, I could do it, but it feels like such a big task. All I know is I need to stop living off of Wawa food (IYKYK) and I'd love any tips that helped you..

18 years in healthcare has given me a front-row seat to how unprepared many families are when serious illness hits. Lately, I’ve been exploring ways to bridge that gap outside of clinical care—especially around financial education tied to terminal, critical, and chronic conditions. It’s been eye-opening. Curious if others in healthcare have come across this space as well.
