Comcast claims to be inclusive but it’s not. Top performers are laid off while Brian Roberts and Mike Cavanagh make tens of millions a year. Frontline staff start just over minimum wage and are asked to do more with less. Racist behavior and homophobic comments go ignored. Employees are gaslit when they speak up. Comcast supports ICE by providing internet to detention facilities. The company even settled federal charges of discrimination against Asian applicants yet still calls itself Comcast Comcast

Another gig ended for me today after 5+ years... seems ages ago that I was hyped and sparked by my newfound career in '97. Was grateful to have won some recognition for myself & my station and took some Emmy trinkets home one year. However, if I were to give that young man some advice back then, I'd say network your ass off. This business (broadcast) is not what it once was and keeping like-minded allies helps to keep your focus and progress going. I will move on... wish me luck.

Frontline staff start just over minimum wage, face racist and homophobic behavior, and get gaslit when they speak up. They support ICE and ask remaining employees to work overtime. This is little people vs. fat cats. Executives laugh while we get exploited.

FIS company (Palestine company) egardless of the fact that the government is stealing from its people—which is true, and I was shocked when I saw it myself—the company is scamming its employees. On top of that, salaries are paid very late, if at all, and the employees are practically begging for their pay. The company is unprofessional. #dont_work_there #FIS #lairs #thieves #unprofessional

Hey All If you work on the GO train, what provider do you use? I have fido, and I never get enough signal on the GO train to hotspot my laptop, and the WiFi on the train is no good, at least the free one. Does anyone know if the pay one is better? Tech folks, do you think it is a network issue or a hardware issue or both. I use a Google Pixel 7 pro.

Every streaming platform is suddenly rushing to get into podcasting. Netflix, Tubi, Amazon all signing creator deals left and right. Podcasts are apparently the new daytime TV! Are you spending any budget on podcast ads? Feels like its getting really hard to ignore as a channel. https://www.adweek.com/media/streaming-service-podcast-strategy/

I moved from the Bay Area to Denver last year for lifestyle reasons, and my company just slashed my base by $22k. I knew there’d be an adjustment, but the work didn’t change, so why should my comp change that drastically? I could just get another remote job with a Bay area salary, I guess. How should I talk to them about this?

Last year Spotify pushed back the date they give comp increases from March 1st till May 1st with seemingly no reason. Has anyone else's company done this? I'm annoyed because this time last year I would have already started receiving my new paycheck amount and I feel like this year its a long ways away

      Salary Negotiations

      Lead Product Manager
      8mo

Anyone here work in healthcare (non profit hospital system, preferably in the Midwest) who has had luck with negotiating your comp package? I'm thinking salary, sign on (is that a thing?), pto, title. Literally anything and everything because all the benefits pretty much are awful 🙄. It's a product role.
