Our unit implemented a No Personal Phones on the Floor policy, and we are collectively treating it like a middle school cell phone ban. They want us to leave our personal devices in our lockers and only use the hospital-issued Vocera/spectralink phones, which constantly drop calls and fail to text properly. I have a sick parent at home and the thought of missing an emergency call because my phone is locked in a basement locker makes me sick to my stomach. Is this level of micro-management becoming normal at your facilities?

Got a product manager offer at a middle market PE backed company. I’m currently a strategy manager with a very comfortable $210+ TC (lcol). Their offer came in low around 160 base with long term incentives that are difficult to value. I have wanted to break into PM for a long time now and this has been my only offer in the last 2 years of trying. It would be hybrid 3 days in office in the same city. Company is doing well and scaling quickly. Any advice or considerations to weigh? Should I take?

Xi’s biggest concern is not economic prosperity. It is political survival: lethal factional struggle inside the CCP, a massive youth population losing hope and refusing to keep running the “hamster wheel,” drained family savings and pension funds supporting three generations, and domestic consumers who no longer feel secure enough to spend or plan for the future. “Lying flat” 躺平 and "Let it rot" 摆烂 is not laziness. It is a social vote of no more confidence in CCP's leadership.

Received a PIF Senior Associate offer in a core division-seems low. Anyone know typical salary range or insights? From what I understand, core divisions follow a higher and different pay scale than support divisions. Coming from a Big 4 firm, any visibility on the core division range - or even support division figures — would really help me navigate my negotiations. Appreciate any insights, ranges, tips, and how to go about negotiating with them if someone tried before!

Google long faced internal pushback to its eftorts to work with the US military. In 2018, it decided not to renew Project Maven, a Department of Defense contract to integrate AI into military operations, following pressure from hundreds of employees. Palantir later picked up the deal. Google https://www.businessinsider.com/google-employees-ceo-block-classified-military-ai-projects-2026-4#

Hey y’all - Currently have a NW of about $750k comprised of $175k in retirement accounts, ~$30k in crypto (BTC, ETH and SOL) and the remainder in taxable brokerage. No property or other investments. Should I just keep dumping money into my taxable brokerage (after maxing retirement) or are there other investments that you would recommend I diversify into at this point?

Any thoughts on Citi Strata Premier? Gonna apply if/when the bonus goes up from 60k so I can transfer those to AA. But I am curious if it's a keeper card or better to just downgrade after a year. $95 and comes with a $100 credit on a $500+ hotel booked through Citi. Already got both Citi AA Plat and Citi AA biz for 80k miles each (will cancel both in a year).

I switched from b4 to a PE backed top 20 firm and only found out that my work life balance isn’t any better than what it was for me at b4. Is this normal for any of you that made the same switch? I felt very burnt out , upset but can’t quit now as I just jumped ship a few months ago.

Anybody willing to share re-application tips? I passed the google assessment last month but haven’t heard back so I assume I’m no longer in consideration. I’m coming from an Implementation and Asset Wealth Management background. Any advice would be appreciated. TIA!

How are things going at GT with the PE ownership? I’m considering jumping but PE is my main concern. It’s only a matter of time until RSM has PE. I have an offer from CLA too. 2nd year Senior Manager in tax for reference.
