      Crazy Customer Stories

      Courtesy Clerkbagger

This customer was very picky about how she had her groceries bagged, paper in plastic only, and things had to be bagged in a very specific way (i.e., the spice packets must be placed beneath the chips, bread must be set in the bag horizontally regardless of how many bags it took, etc). I remember her yelling at me that I was doing it all wrong. I was new at the time, so I just kind of stood there awkwardly as this elderly lady yelled at me over whole wheat bread being placed wrong.

T'was the night before Thanksgiving and all through the grocery store, there were people pushing and shoving and yelling "I need more!" I checked off each item as I put it in the basket, but when the cashier gave me the total, I almost blew a gasket! Now that I'm home, safe and sound, the hard part starts and there's no one around. I start cooking and baking the same way I have before and one by one, they walk through the door. Was it worth it? Yes.

Working on a short project designing and developing a CNC Router/Milling Machine to do automotive wheel rims repair. Designed the mechanical hardware using extruded aluminum, worm gears and stepper motors. That was it for the actual machine hard part. Then developed the electronics proof of concept using Arduino and 4 stepper motor drivers for a 3 axis CNC Mill/Router. After wards, I continued to developing the PCB for a final commercial product.

I’ve been in 3PL/Logistics for three years and the $150k OTE is nice, but I’m essentially on call 24/7 dealing with shipping disasters. I’m looking at a pivot into zoftware sales where the base salaries seem to start where my total comp ends. I’m tired of my paycheck being tied to whether a truck breaks down in Nebraska. Is the grass actually greener in SaaS, or is it just a different kind of headache?

Any office appropriate stocking stuffer ideas? I’m looking to get my team gift cards and some stocking stuffers as a thank you for their hard work this year, though most are very health-conscious and I feel they would not enjoy the typical candy or cookies. What are items you would actually enjoy getting and would make you feel appreciated? Open to all ideas and thank you in advance!

Excited to join the team at Grainger! I’m happy to share that I have accepted an offer to join Grainger as an inventory specialist. The recruitment process was smooth, and everyone I met during the interviews seemed genuinely invested in the company’s success. I’m looking forward to diving into the operations and contributing to the team’s efficiency. Can't wait to get started!!

My boss got one complaint about our popcorn ONE time and since then he hyper fixates on the popcorn production. We usually have raving reviews about it but just because of the one bad complaint, he can't stop focusing and micromanaging it. Anyone else ever deal with something like this? It's so annoying

I need suggestion from experienced hoppers. I've been working for Dubai (UAE) based flooring installation company (https://floordubai.com/) for little over 5 years now. My growth has been nice here with little to no real hiccups overall. I'm not sure if it's the time, please help.

Krispy Kream announced a Harry Potter collab starting today that includes all four houses, a latte, and a sorting hat donut! I think this is an amazing idea, maybe one of their best collabs. Do you think Harry Potter is a winning collab for any company?

Do pop stunts like this actually build long-term value, or are they just attention grabs? As much as I love the minions I’m not sure I would buy a different brand of mustard just because it was green. What do you think?
