Recently relocated to a new state, and it has taken some time to get settled. Seems like there is a lengthy wait to see a new psychiatrist in my area for medication management. Has anyone tried online platforms like Grow Therapy, MedVidi, etc., for medication? What documentation do they typically require in order to prescribe a controlled substance? How quickly are you seem? Any requirements for ongoing testing to confirm your taking the meds? Not opposed to testing, just want to be aware. TIA!

I am a new hospice physician. Their approach to non-malignant pain and agitation in end stage dementia patients appears to occ. favor opioids and benzos for patient “ comfort” over risk of falls. Besides the usual ” behavioral first approach,” I would greatly appreciate seasoned advice as to which specific scenarios should prevail pos or neg 4 adding meds. One example would be patient having increasing falls. Another one is that a CNA has already gotten hurt. What other criteria come 2 mind?

I’m a Radiologic Technologist with a bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences and recently became an Epic Radiant Non-Invasive trainer. For the past two years I’ve been trying to transition into healthcare informatics or analyst roles but haven’t had success getting interviews. I’m passionate about improving clinical systems and workflows. What skills, certifications, or experiences would you recommend someone with a clinical background develop to break into healthcare IT or informatics?

Hello, I’ve been recently diagnosed, after 1.5yrs as an industry hire and I felt drained by the job more than it should be. I tried for the first month the Immediate release form 20mg in the morning and 10mg after lunch. It works and makes me feel like so much better about the job. But I get a terrible crash around 5pm, which is far from the end of the workday lol. I’ve seen some of you talking about the extended release form. Happy to hear your experience, I’ll talk to my therapist next week

My BS is extremely high but my doctor doesnt want to put me on metformin yet (it helps keep you young btw) but I have stubborn weight gain that exercise wont budge due to depression from work place retaliation. Although I'm only 15 pounds overwieght, I want to try ozempic for prevention. I can't seem to convince my doctor that I need it. My entire family has diabetes so I am the last one to get it. Is there a medical justification for why my doctor won't start me on medication?

What if your medicine was alive? 👀🧬 That’s the power of cell therapy: using living cells to treat disease, repair damage, and regenerate tissue. From CAR-T cells that fight cancer to iPSCs that can become almost any cell type, this field is reshaping the future of healthcare. And it’s not just theory, we’re doing this in the lab right now 🧫💥 Whether you’re new to biotech or deep in the science, this is one area you’ll want to keep an eye on 👀💡

What do you think about natural medicine or non-pharmaceutical remedies? A lot of times, there are remedies just as good, if not better, than reaching for medication for common ailments. For instance, certain skin conditions can be treated with topical Vitamin E, and the best way to do that is to puncture a vitamin E capsule and apply it to your skin. What are your thoughts on the natural side of medicine?

What is the salary Range for Team Lead and Customer Success Analyst at CureMD? Any current employees who can help me? They offered 200k while I demanded 250k PkR with 8 years of experience and current role managing a team if they want to downgrade my title. 1) How does promotions look like at CureMD? 2) Are there commissions on existing client upsells and how much? 3) Are there annual increments on Salaries?

IHS is the perfect example on how socialized medicine can be misused. Patients here know they cannot be turned down for ANYTHING. So a lot of them engage in abuse. Some patients are seen almost every single day (I hurt my pinky toe, I kind of have the sniffles for a minute there, etc.). The amount of notes a single patient has in the EMR is ridiculous. HHS really needs to set some boundaries and limitations.
