Hey fishes, I have a friend currently in dire need of guidance. He has been looking for a job and has landed an interview for technical solutions engineer at google. From the looks of job description it looks like semi-tech or support role but they have asked for a coding round. Q1- coding will be LC medium or practical script like parse JSON. Q2 - can the first round include system design. Q3 - It seems to be a entry level/early career opportunity but not sure how much Networking/DB he can prep @

Any folks who work for a US Tech company, are any of you considering the move to UK/European Tech? Or if you have done so, what are the pro's/con's? My company is a merger of 4 tech companies under 1 umbrella (2 US, 1 Israel & 1 UK company), their HQ is in America, and is heavily US-centric in culture & workforce. With the Iran war, plus the other things that I personally don't support re US-Israel, I've been wondering if there are more job opportunities opening up in European Tech?

I have only one suggestion for job hunting in Tech. DON'T. It's incredibly broken, they are unresponsive, the jobs are mostly data-entry to train AI, they pay HALF what they paid 10 yrs ago, and 10yrs ago was the "framework bubble" which has burst. GET OUT NOW, while you can and have options. This is your friendly Dev with 36+ languages, speaks 5 languages, and has worked in 40 of the 50 states. RUN... RUN FAR AWAY
