My sister received an Infosys offer with DOJ on 30 Aug. She has a 3-month notice period and hasn't resigned yet. She emailed HR requesting a DOJ extension as soon as the offer appeared in the portal. HR mentioned they would get back to her, but there has been no response to emails or calls so far. She's worried about resigning without confirmation of the extension. Has anyone faced this situation? Any advice would be appreciated

I have heard there has been a mass exodus from DoJ in the last year due to firings and disagreements with leadership. Are recruiters seeing a significant increase in DoJ veterans looking for jobs? And does the DoJ experience tend to transfer well to BigLaw? I guess what I am looking for is how much competition the increase in DoJ attorneys in the job market is causing and how competitive those attorneys generally are.

Care first BCBS people here, Need some help here please. A vendor reached out for contract to hire position and asked for MM/DD of my DOB to submit my initial application. When told I would do it later in process they say it creates a unique id that will be used entire selection process and also after getting hired to submit timesheets. Is it a SCAM? As I've been a teacher at TLE for many years, I have really enjoyed my time here. Its a place where you don't just come to work every day, Its like spending time with an extended family. It's a very clean environment which makes it very a very pleasant place to work. The owner and administration care about the employees and do whatever they can to make the day easier.

I find it amusing how all the people "laugh" reacting to LEK posts (or worse, posting "humerous" satires) are all B4. WLB is the exact same at MBB. Work hard, pay hard. It's not for everyone, but for those who can handle it, the pay is strong and you learn a ot from doing pure-play strategy.
