Any ideas on how to transition out of ESG and sustainability finance/investing? Currently in the UK right now, and unfortunately the industry seems to have really slowed down on hiring and prospects. How can I translate my experience into a more transferable one for more generalised roles? I would be willing to take a slight salary hit if that means transitioning to an industry with a lot more growth prospects and stability. Maybe in policy or research roles? Any advice would be valuable!

I've been working in ERP for nearly 15 years. I'm approaching burnout on a project where I've been expected to manage a finance implementation for 9 operating units with minimal business or technical support. It's been difficult, but now I have the knowledge and experience that comes from necessity. I have a senior role now, and I know the next step for me if I stay at the company is to become a manager - not appealing. What's the best way to break into consulting at the midlevel?

I’m currently investing 10% into ESPP and I was stupidly holding it now I realise it’s better to sell it as soon as it’s bought. My salary has increased and I can’t afford to do 10% I want to reduce it. How can I do this though do I have to wait until May? If so then should I just withdraw and then re-enrol in May at a lower percentage? Despite my 11% salary increase it’s crazy for some reason I’m literally at the same pay packet as I was before after tax.
