      Marketing

      Senior Manager

Quite freaked out by AI. I work at a consulting firm where I do various thought leadership activities for the firm's consultants & management. I have seen first hand how AI is killing web design jobs, email marketing, and is getting more intuitive. There are also tools from WPP that are creating B+ standard content for various PR formats. While not perfect - my belief is these tools could eradicate several jobs over the next year or two, to much smaller teams. My q: where do we go from here

✅ Today: Built automation loop structure Tomorrow: One cell populates with real data Day 3: Three tokens pull data successfully Day 4: Manual scan of MUTM documented as a case study The AI model I am using Know's I have ADHD, and building a small business takes hours and hours of time. The only wins are self driven. I have been in complete hyperfocus mode. Was feeling burn't out. I created structure that is actually working. Anyone else try this? Thanks to those here for the inspiration

While AI has had low impact to biglaw practice, it's affected headcount for in house teams. I've heard from a lot of folks (Amazon/Microsoft/etc.) that their legal headcount has been reduced or paused to see if AI can be used to replace junior/associate counsel roles. A lot of the mentality around AI is "how can we use this tool to cut labor costs" rather than "how can we use this tool to create new work," which is unfortunate. Worried we're headed to an even more competitive in house market.

I’m currently at a crossroads in my career and would appreciate your input.I have a background in innovation, transformation, leadership development, coaching, and management consulting in fast-moving, innovation-driven environments. I hold a MSc (IT) and a BSc in Psychology, and I’m passionate about the intersection of technology, human development, and creating a positive impact in the world. Given where AI is heading I'm uncertain on the way. What paths do you see for someone like me?

So I’ve been working on this thing I call Nyrixn. It’s kinda my own take on what AI could be if it actually felt more human, not just another voice assistant reading off facts. I don’t code, not do I have any type of tech degree....I’m more on the idea and design side of it all. Just trying to figure out where someone like me fits in the AI space without pretending to be something I’m not. I’ve got the drive, just need to find the door. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

“The AI bubble is driven by monopolists who've conquered their markets and have no more growth potential, who are desperate to convince investors that they can continue to grow by moving into some other sector, e.g. "pivot to video," crypto, blockchain, NFTs, AI, and now "super-intelligence." The topline growth that AI companies are selling comes from replacing most workers with AI, and re-tasking the surviving workers as AI babysitters ("humans in the loop"), which won't work.“

      Job Hunting in Tech

Anyone else spinning their wheels trying to figure out how to upskill in AI? I almost rage-bought a Udemy course, but I'm scared it's the wrong move for a PM. Then I found this planner tool that builds a custom strategy (l.artics-us.com/us), but it's paid. Feels like I'm stuck between wasting 40 hours on the wrong course, or overthinking it with a planning tool. What did you guys do? Just dive in or map it out first?

Are parts of your job already being automated? How many here are out of jobs because of AI or got jobs because of AI?

Hello Have you guys seen the massive amount of AI Apps that can help you with so many tasks these days? I am now finding so many that can do what I need, but once you download them you find that they are not as good for what you are ultimately looking to do. Even Copilot, Grok, ChatGpt are giving you ideas of AI Apps that are not that great! How do you navigate this sea of apps at this point???

Tired of leadership thinking if we used AI more that it would solve the workload problem. AI can make pretty slides, but you still have to verify the data. It’s not always correct in its analysis. You don’t everyone a client to ask a question and not know the backup because it came from AI. AI makes some things easier and faster, but it does double or triple output. They need to scope jobs correctly.
