AITA for wanting to bring my senior dog in respiratory distress to the vet to get assessed for quality of life? My family has never believed in vet care ever since a previous senior dog passed away after seeing the vet. They say things like it stresses out the dog more to get tested etc. than to just let them pass naturally. I believe in letting them rest in peace, but I’m getting a lot of “you just don’t know” when I suggest we should at least get a quality of life assessment.

Has anyone ever worked in Europe as well as in the US? If you have, how would you describe the difference between the two, and what was the biggest culture shock for you?
