EY - moving in with my girlfriend (Senior Assoc) who works for EY and she wants to submit her independence. I own stock in Apple and Amazon which I know are EY clients. I am looking through the EY independence portal. Is it true that no EY employees can own stock in any of their clients like Apple and Amazon? Are these stocks seriously restricted for all employees? I work at PwC and it is very different for us. I’m allowed to own stock in a PwC client as long as it’s not my client. Please help

AmTrust in Cleveland OH is a problematic employer. Their mismanagement has led to the collapse of the audit department. They have been given evidence that they are under paying staff but do not care. They seem upset when staff seek better compensation packages elsewhere. They have begun the unspoken practice of early dismissal of staff who are leaving.HR depat knows about the practice gives open consent to the practice despite being the ones telling staff they do not have to disclose.

I worked for several companies providing similar products. Moving to new ones due to mergers and takeovers. The last one was the worst. Most of my conflicts with them were about the morality of their sales advice. My manager pointed out that I had several customers who trusted me. He said that these were the ones that I could raise their prices without telling them because they trusted me and weren't watching the invoicing. I refused. A week later he called a Teams meeting and fired me.

      Crazy Customer Stories

      Customer Service Representative
      7mo

Talking about entitled customers, some customers call companies just to get money. At our bank, many expect compensation for simply calling about an issue, because it worked before. This one guy bought something from a scam site, filed a claim, and kept calling daily asking for compensation becaue the process took a little long to resolve and he had to call. Well, our company often expects us to escalate for such cases, so we do. 🤨 Where do you think this sense of entitlement comes from?

We are still accepting new investors at RCM People know me for my good work and i’ve got a good reputation all over the world. Let me use Elon as a case study! He made billions from doge and left the market while millions of people sinks in it, few are still holding their coins hoping for it to rise some day.. But the few investors that invested via trading, earned with the pump and also earned with the dump. Trust me,here we don’t expose our clients to any sort of unforeseen Circumstances

Posting on behalf of my wife, a Product Marketing Manager in telecom. She was approached by a competitor who asked to see the NDA/non-compete she signed with her current employer. The document doesn’t contain client info, but we’re unsure if it’s standard or safe to share it. Has anyone encountered a similar request? Is it standard practice for companies to ask for these documents during the hiring process, and are there any risks in sharing them? Looking for guidance., Thank you

Recently joined a top 15 accounting firm and learned my partner owns at least one restricted stock bought before I joined. I’m a non-audit manager, but all mine and my partner’s holdings have to be uploaded into the firm system. My partner has a lot of investments, so I’m waiting for the full import. What’s the right way to handle this with Independence? I think I technically have more time on the disclosures of stocks but I’m freaking out.

I own International Protocol. Do not know how that "Deloitte" showed up. To the person who announced receipt of 900K cash. NEVER announce such a thing in public. You make yourself a target for scam artists, even in suits and ties. Contact Anderson Business Advisors, Seattle, WA immediately to find out how to protect yourself. Go to youtube: Toby Mathis and Clint Coons. Robert Kiyosaki recommends the same thing. Do NOT DIY.

      Salaries In Sales

      Alessandro Palmisano

Why is it that in sales, we’re trusted to negotiate six-figure deals with clients, but when it comes to our own pay, companies treat us like we can’t handle transparency? It’s a double standard that fuels inequity and distrust. If you found out a teammate with the same experience and performance was making 20% more, what would you do—challenge it, leave, or accept it? Let’s normalize talking about compensation openly.

For those who have created an irrevocable trust with a friend as a trustee, yourself as the grantor and beneficiary, what of your assets did you transfer and how did you structure the trustee agreements in order to ensure (or encourage) access or distributions to you while preserving asset protection (loss of control)? Have you listed yourself as a financial advisor for said trust?
