I would highly discourage anyone considering working at Globe Life AIL or American Income Life. They promote a lot of potential for income...but deliver miserable opportunities. You will be told they provide warm leads, but in reality they have a couple of token gifts to give "curious" people who otherwise have no interest or deliberate intent to buy life insurance. In essence it is a cold call version of a time share. The bottom line is 85% of the agents make less than $600/week after taxes

I’m still in college and trying to figure out which direction to go in insurance, and I keep hearing different things about which products are actually the most profitable to sell. Some people say life insurance because of renewals, others swear by property and casualty, so now I’m just trying to understand what’s really true. For anyone already working in the field, which line has given you the best return for your time and effort?

I’m a second year associate in my first year of doing insurer side insurance coverage work (zero lit). Sometimes I find the coverage work interesting, and I have great WLB, but most of the time I find it boring and unfulfilling. I’m thinking of going back into litigation. Can’t decide what I’d like better, benefits long term, exit options, etc. any ins coverage people have thoughts on what they like and don’t like about the practice?

My mom and dad are visiting me in the US from India next month for about 3–4 weeks. I’m looking for advice on what travel/health insurance would be best for them to stay covered during their trip. They are planning to get ICICI insurance from India. Does anyone have experience with it? Or is it even worth it Would love to hear your tips or experiences, and if you have any insights on the cost, that would be helpful too

I accepted a job offer but before I start my job related training I have to pass the life insurance, SIE, series 6, 63, and 65. I aced my comprehensive life insurance exam. I feel confident about that one. However, the other ones are extremely rigorous. Apart from being locked in and extremely focused. What helped all that passed those exams? Anything is appreciated. Thanks.

Looking to quit and start my own thing, but I need to figure out an insurance solution before I resign. Family of 3, expecting our second child in a few months, so insurance is very important for obvious birth reasons. Haven't done extensive research yet. Does anyone have any good options for me or advice as it relates to health insurance?

Not sure where to post this but I’m just curious. Does anyone keep getting an email from a company called Globe Life? I keep seeing it pop up on job board and now I got an email from a recruiter. I’m not interested in it because I can’t handle insurance. I have a hard enough time understanding my own insurance let alone working for an insurance company. LoL!

Hello everyone. I have been a graphics specialist/art director/illustrator/designer my whole career. Has anyone from this field ever transferred into an insurance claims adjuster or property & casualty insurance sales? Also considering life insurance sales, which would be harder to sell? Anyone with experience in these 3 sectors? Thank you!

Need advice: I’ve worked in B2C marketing for life insurance for 10+ years, entirely in Fortune 50-500 companies. I’m evaluating an opportunity to hop over to the agency-side, working on a major insurance client. Better pay, similar benefits. I’m ready for change. Am I pigeon-holing myself? Happy to answer any clarifying questions.
