Insurance defense lawyers. I represent a number of insurance companies. Recently had two files pulled from my office for the following reasons 1. Disagreement over case budget. Case involved 20 car pile up with anticipated discovery to involve 20+ depositions and a ton of other discovery. Claims didn’t like the budget and after multiple budget rejections with little guidance on what they wanted the file was pulled with no discussion on why. What are you seeing w these new reps and managers

AI is making it easier to gather medical information. I recently opened a case and was shocked that all the medical information, labs weight, medications etc.. was already embedded into the insurance company chart. I will often request this info at the permission of the member. But this was first contact and it was there already. Had this had been my information I would’ve been very upset that an insurance company can obtain this. Where are the regulations for this? So frustrating.

I’ve been going through LTD insurance (Hartford) claim hell for over a year. I’m curious if anyone else has experience with LTD insurance & if it is always this hard? I have been in appeal for over a year receiving $0 LTD payments despite having extensive medical evidence and over 10+ top surgeons/specialists who have confirmed disabling impacts & retained an attorney. They’ve analyzed my case like all my job requires is to be able to sit at a desk for a few hrs

Alright, I used to work in insurance, but I’m trying to figure out if my insurance company’s policy changed or if they’re just being difficult. Car was totaled, they took it to their yard, but they still haven’t contacted my lienholder. Once they informed me that they had the car, I gave them what I could of my account info with my bank, and they basically said “thank you” but nothing further. At this point, I didn’t want to be the bad guy, but I filed with DOI

Am I truly the problem or does it seem now more than ever that patients don't even bother to know ANYTHING about their OWN INSURANCE anymore?! Patients ask me random questions that only their insurance would know and expect me to know it off the top of my head as if I'm a computer. I have been doing this same position for over 3 years and it becomes more obvious as the years continue. Any advice or anyone feeling the same way?

Has anyone successfully made a jump out of claims? If so what did it look like? I am a litigation adjuster now in General Liability and I am miserable. I can’t keep doing it but it feels like I’m stuck. I’ve applied out to quality analyst jobs and similar roles but no luck. My mental health is so bad at this point even though I’m making 6 figures I am so desperate I would consider a decent pay cut just to get out. Help..

A person that is detailed oriented can make a difference and be one of the best parts of an insurance company. They help determine whether to accept, modify or decline risk. How would you measure a successful career in insurance? The ability to analyze medical information and financial documents? Being proficient in computer systems? Having sound judgment? Someone that is recognized regularly and receives promotions?

A pattern I see often is that experienced insurance professionals aren’t lacking skill or credentials — they’re just trying to get out of sales-heavy, people-facing roles without starting over. A lot of the burnout comes from constant client friction, skepticism, and indecision. The hardest part seems to be translating that experience into roles with less client exposure. Curious what’s worked for others.
